OUR INFRASTRUCTURE

We posses sophisticated infrastructural facilities for designing, manufacturing and

installing of Water Engineering plants (Water Treatment Plants, Effluent Treatment

Plants and Sewage Treatment Plants). The list of hi-tech machinery used for

The importance of having suitable treatment facilities for sewage has

gained tremendous ground in the last 5 years, statutory compliance

requirements, economic factors, disposal problems, self-regulatory

mechanisms of organizations, environmental policies of organizations

etc... have given this field its long-due importance. AIMS has a

AEORA-tech

Many wastewater contaminants are held in solution due primarily to electrical

charges. Bacteria, algae, oils, clays, carbon black, silica, phosphate, nickel, lead,

chromate and other ions, are only some examples. Neutralization of these charges

and the subsequent precipitation of these contaminants can be achieved either by

chemical or by electrochemical means.

Electro-coagulation systems have been employed for years in the treatment of

waste water. Most rely upon the high voltages to produce a strong electromagnetic

field in order to disrupt the attraction of the particles, allowing suspended

contaminants to precipitate. Now, AIMS has involved aeration along with Electro-

SBR (SEQUENCING BATCH REACTOR)

tSequencing batch reactors (SBR) are Industrial processing tanks for thetreatment of wastewater. SBR reactor treat waste water such as sewage oroutput from anaerobic digesters or mechanical biological treatment facilitiesin batches.

tOxygen is bubbled through the waste water to reduce biochemical oxygendemand (BOD)and chemical oxygen demand (COD) to make suitable fordischarge into sewers or for use on land .

tWhile there are several configurations of SBRs the basic process is similar.The installation consists of at least two identically equipped tanks with acommon inlet, Which can be switched between them.

tThe tanks gave a “flow through” system, with raw wastewater (influent) comingin at one end and treated water (effluent) flowing out the other. While one tankis in settle/decent mode the other is aerating and filling. At the inlet is a sectionof the tank known as the bio-selector. This consists of a series of walls ofbaffles which direct the flow either from side to side of the tank or under andover consecutive baffles.

tThis helps to mix the incoming Influent and the returned activated sludge,beginning the biological digestion process before the liquor enters the main partof the tank.

FBBR (FLUIDISED BED BIO REACTOR)

AIMS developed the in-house state of the art Fluidised Bed Bio-reactorAIMS FBBR which can be used for any type of process wastewater andmunicipal wastewater achieving high efficiency.

It offers features like, quick start up, self cleaning, fully automaticonce in operation, automatic sludge separation, and "mess free"robust operation with central up-front control, systems for bothsewage and industrial wastewater.

The heart of the Fluidized Bed Bio Reactor (FBBR) technology is a

proprietary media and a unique air distribution system (ADS). This

media provides a large protected surface area for biological attached -

growth. In the FBBR tanks and reactors, the media is subjected to an

aeration process for maximum oxygen and mass transfer.

The result is a very high rate of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) reduction pervolume. The high density of attached living biomass makes the process much moreresistant to toxic shock, sludge bulking, and other problems that can plague puresuspended growth systems. AIMS FBBR technology allows for biological treatmentin much less time and space required than for conventional bio-treatment systemscurrently utilized.

Air generated from air blower is diffused into the bottom of the reactor vessel. Theoxygen supply is automatically adjusted to maintain the proper dissolved oxygenlevel in the vessel. A high concentration of biomass develops because of the largemedia surface area, abundant oxygen and optimized mass transfer conditions.Excess biomass is automatically sheared at the discharge point for removal.

R.O (Reverse Osmosis)

tIt is known as hyper filtration / Desalination or Reverse osmosis. In the

Process of desalination of water Reverse Osmosis membrane technology plays vital

role. We, at “AIMS” offers Industrial Reverse Osmosis System with world’s best

spirally wounded thin film composite membranes and FRP or stainless steel housing.

tPerformance of any RO plants/ RO Systems depends on proper pre-treatment, and

hence we incorporate appropriate pre-filtration with required chemical dosing in the

Reverse Osmosis

tIn the Process the pressure needed to push water through the membrane,

even as the membrane rejects the passage of salt through it. Typical

pressures for Raw / brackish water range from 8.0 to 26 bar. In the case of

seawater, they range from 55 to 81.0 bar .This requires a large amount of

energy. Hence High Pressure pumps are mandatory and considered to be

heart of the system.

tThe membrane assembly consists of a pressure vessel with a membrane that

allows feed-water to be pressed against it. The membrane must be strong

enough to withstand whatever pressure is applied against it. RO membranes

are made in a variety of configurations, with the two most common

configurations being spiral-wound and hollow-fibre. Typically it rejects the

salts upto 95-99% from the feed water.

vSedimentation : High molecular weight chemicals such as alum or polyelectrolyte is been dosed in the

raw water to increase filtration efficiency

vChlorination : Bleaching Powder or Sodium Hypochlorite solution is been dosed in the raw water to

decrease the bacterial & Viral contamination

vSuspended Particle Filtration : Clarifier or Multi-grade Sand filter is vital part during the pre-

treatment to remove or minimize the load of the suspended particles, dirt, mud etc. thus protecting the

Micron cartridge filters and membranes.

vDe-chlorination & De-colourisation : It is necessary to remove colour, odour and chlorine from the

water and hence Activated Carbon filter is considered . In some cases Sodium meta bi-sulphite

chemical is been dosed in the filtered water to ensure the water is free from dissolved chlorine thus

protecting the Reverse Osmosis membranes from the possible damage!

vScale Prevention : Ion exchange resin for softening of water plays key role to reduce the load of total

hardness. The Calcium and magnesium salts has been removed and replaced with sodium salts by

means of water softener. In some cases Antiscalent chemical is been dosed in the filtered water to

ensure the water with lesser load of total hardness in the feed water , thus protecting the Reverse

Osmosis membranes from the possible damage !

tMicron Filtration : Micron cartridges of different ratings is the vital part in the pretreatment

which removes particle sizes upto 1micron to ensure efficient and safe operation of RO water

plant.

tUltra Filtration : This is most efficient membrane filtration technology in pretreatment which

efficiently remove a wide range of microscopic particles, colloidal matter and pathogens, including

viruses and bacteria , and total hardness in the raw water thus substantially improving the

recovery and performance of RO water plant.

UV

UV : Ultraviolet water purification lamps produce UV-C or "germicidal UV," radiation of much

greater intensity than sunlight. Almost all of a UV lamp's output is concentrated in the 254

nanometers (nm) region in order to take full advantage of the germicidal properties of this

wavelength. Most ultraviolet purification systems are combined with various forms of filtration, as

UV light is only capable of killing microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, molds, algae, yeast,

and oocysts like cryptosporidium and giardia. UV light generally has no impact on chlorine, VOCs,

heavy metals, and other chemical contaminants. Nevertheless, it is probably the most cost

effective and efficient technology available to homeowners to eliminate a wide range of biological

contaminants from their water supply. Recent testing has also shown that UV can be effective at

destroying certain VOC's, although we would not specifically recommend the technology for VOC

reduction.

SERVICING

vWe take up single servicing of any system which include complete

servicing, supply of the necessary spares, painting and re-

commissioning.

vBesides, we also take up the operation and maintenance of the

systems. Our team consists of engineers, supervisors and operators

who are capable of extracting the best from any system without

deviating from the designed parameters.

vOur AMC (Annual maintenance contract) covers the inspection of the

systems on a periodic basis to ensure that our clients operate and

maintain the systems as they should be. In our AMC we caution the

clients to take precautionary steps to ensure any unforeseen break

downs do not occur.

REPAIRS

tBe it patch welding work, relining of MS pressure vessels or replacement

of damaged or worn out spares viz valves, ejectors, strainer plates,

pumps etc all are handled by us within the shortest down time. Total

repairs of frontal or interconnecting piping are undertaken.
