After the little ones get done trick or treating, (8:00 PM - 9:45 PM) stop by the UVCA playground for the bonfire, free chili (neighbors: Bring your favorite recipe (for traditional or non-traditional to enter our annual contest. See page 2) , Hot dogs, cider s’mores, doughnuts, and hot chocolate will be available for FREE, compliments of the UVCA and generous donations from YOU, our neighbors.

After Trick or Treat with the kids, join us a the playground for our annual CHILI COOK-OFF! Bring enough to serve the public after the judging. We have TWO categories. TRADITIONAL: Your regular red chili with meat and beans and NON-TRADITIONAL: Anything other than the “traditional”.

$25 for the first place winners in each category! Bring out YOUR BEST!

The UVCA will also be providing hot dogs, cider, s’mores, hot chocolate and doughnuts—FREE!

HEADS UP! The Clinton Township Road Crew advises that brush clean up has ended as they transition to LEAF PICKUP in the next few weeks. Please have your leaf piles street side (but not in the street) on Monday mornings. Please make sure no other debris are in the piles as it may damage the equipment.

Jess Brewer, Jr., was born April 12, 1927 in Martin County, KY. He passed September 16, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 68+ years, M. Meredith (Waldron); sons, Elbridge "Ebby" (Mareetta), Gregory (Diana); and daughter, Johanna (Gregory) McKenzie. In 2017, Jess was honored by the Columbus Purple Heart Association Chapter to represent the contributions of the Merchant Marine in WWII. After his honorable discharge enrolled and graduated from Pikeville College. He and Meredith married in 1950 and spent the next 42+ years working in various roles in the transportation industry. Jess was an avid sports fan. He loved UK basketball, OSU football, all things golf and baseball (NYY) and was a director and Past President of York Golf Club. Jess was a proud 67+ year member of Free & Accepted Masons. Was a PM of Capital City Lodge #656, member of York Rite Bodies, an endowed 32' Mason member of Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus. He was an original member of the makeup crew for the PM Unit Aladdin Shrine.
