Essential answers Dystopian and utopian literature affects people by teaching them, by connecting and applying ideas from the text to the real world, entertaining them and even inspiring them to take action in life. According to the Gulf News, literature has "shaped civilisations, changed political systems and have exposed injustice." Literature also helps people understand other path walks of life.

The art and literature also helps people see problems that their world faces or thinks it's excelling at so it can be fixed but also not destroy something already working.
