Where we started

• Started CAD in 1984 with Carrier E2000 when Iowa State installed it’s own telephone system.

• Converted to AutoCAD with release of Version 9 in the fall 1987.

• This involved upgrading from PASCAL to DOS operating systems.

Where are we now• Currently we are using AutoCAD

Architecture 2009.

• Linking plats to FAMIS space data using FAMISCAD.

• Started looking at Revit in 2004

• Purchased Mapguide in 2005
