UTC’s Products• UTC stands for United Technologies Corporation• UTC was first incorporated in 1934 as United Aircraft Company• It has expanded greatly since then• UTC carries products such as:

• Carrier air conditioning and heating system• Hamilton Sundstrand aerospace systems and industrial products• Otis elevators and escalators• Pratt and Whitney aircraft systems• Sikorsky helicopters• UTC fire and security systems• UTC Power fuel cells

Things to consider:1. Location

-Can UTC export and import goods?-How would the geography impact the development of the company?

2. Communication-Is it easy to communicate with companies overseas?-Are there cell phone services in the area?

3. Economy-Are people in the area wealthy enough to purchase product?-Are the products needed in this area?

4. Competition-Is there competition in the area?

5. Transportation-Are there roads that can be easily travelled?-Are there railroads?

6. Military-Would our products benefit the military?

Thailand- The major cities are

overpopulated

- There are already competitive companies

- Weather may hinder workdays

The hot and rainy months of the year would not benefit the company.

China is bordered by many bodies of water and products can be easily imported and exported.

China Location• In the west of the country, there are vast varieties

of mountains and deserts.• The company will have to build on the eastern

coast of China.

excellent ways of transportation, so we wouldn’t have to go through the busy streets.

• More businesses are starting to relocate in China because many countries have ties to China in terms of trading and are successful.
