Coordinators’ Corner
Dear Parents
We are now in the month of assessment and waxing
of the floors. It is a busy month with lots going on
but our parents make it much easier with all the help
they give to the staff and classrooms. Once we know
the dates on both of these I will pass it along to the
staff and parents. We are still in the interviewing pro-
cess for hiring the coordinators for the 2 sites at this
time. There was one candidate picked out but she has
chosen to stay with her current position. We have
many applications and will continue to go through
each of them and interview as needed.
Thanks for all you do for the Center!

Dear Infant Parents,
In the month of July Infants will be learning about nursery rhymes. We will be
learning about different nursery rhymes and doing various activities associated
with them.
Important reminders
UTC Children’s Center will be closed on Wednesday July 4, 2018
July 11th 3-Stars Assessment.
Good Housekeeping:
Please remember to wear your shoecovers when entering to
classroom. Please wash your hands and your child’s hands upon
entering the classroom and please be sure to label all of your
children’s items.
Thank you for being such wonderful parents!
Ms. Cathy and Ms. Debbie
Dear Parents,
We had a fun month exploring oceans and the things that live in them. This
month we will be introducing Fireworks, Flags, and Camping. During the camp-
ing unit we may have a visit from a friend with camping paraphernalia for
the children to explore. I’ll have more details at a future date. We will have
tents, sleeping bags, flashlights, “logs and campfires”, lanterns, and camp
chairs set up in the room. This might be a good time to set up play tents in
your own home/playrooms/backyards. We will take nature walks, “roast”
marshmallows, eat some s’mores, and try roasted hotdogs. (I’ll be getting
organic chicken or turkey dogs for this activity;0)
We will be having the state 3 Star Assessment on Wednesday July 11th,
so you may see people with clipboards observing in
the classroom. Just as a friendly reminder (not that
ya’ll need it, ya’ll rock) please wash your hands and
your child(ren)’s hands upon entering the room.
Have a great month,
Ms. Ann, Ms.Jameshia, Ms. Kayley, and Mr. Ben

Dear Parents,
For the month of July, the Older Toddlers will be learning all about
summer. We will discuss nature, animals, changes in the
weather, and going on vacation. Mostly, we will focus on
going to the beach, going camping and going to the park.
The Older Toddlers will get to enjoy nature by going on
walks and going to the “park” right outside our school.
They will also get to eat watermelon and make Smores.
We ask that parents bring in any pictures of their families
on vacation or enjoying a day in the park so that we can
display these in the classroom.
Thank you for your support.
Ms. Amy and Ms. Katie

Dear Parents,
We’ve had an exciting June. We’ve looked at pirates and crystals. We’ve had fun with
water on Wednesdays. We’ve also said goodbye to Pippa and Lucy. July promises to be
just as busy! We’ll have our annual assessment on the 11th. We’ll continue to have water
play on Wednesdays.
Please remember to wash your hands and remind your child to wash their hands right
when entering the room.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let us know!
Thank you,

Toddler 1 Hello Toddler-One Families,
Wow it is hard to believe that we are into the month of July! July is such a
busy month. We will celebrate America’s Birthday as well as explore a
beach and ocean theme for the month. We will also have more fun in the
sun with Water Day Activities on July 2nd and July 16th. On Tuesday July
10th we will have our annual 3- Star Assessment. Our floors will be
waxed sparkling clean on Friday July 20th. These days can be somewhat
stressful for staff, but we will do our utmost to keep things routine and
calm for the children.
As we enter July, T1 would like to welcome Emersen Merriman to
our classroom. We are excited to have Emersen as well as her family
join us. As always, we would like to thank you all for giving us the op-
portunity to learn and grow with your children. Please let us know should
you have any questions or concerns.

what summer is all
about, we will enjoy
exploring out-

dress each infant in
weather appropriate
attire. We are so happy to
have our new friends,

Room. They both joined
us last month and we are
so happy to have them
here with us! As a friendly reminder,
please either wear only
socks or shoe covers
when you enter the room.
Secondly, please be sure
to wash your hands and
your child's hands with
soap and water upon arri-
val. Lastly, please make
sure to label each of your

lowing these few simple

will learn about celebrating America, ocean and summer.

*Friday July 20th, the Center floors will be waxed. Friday afternoon we will move all the
furniture out of the classrooms. That following Monday we will move everything back
in.
*Tuesday, July 10th is the Center’s 3 Stars assessment date.
*We will have water day on Thursdays in July. Remember to bring a towel, swimwear, and

Please remember to wash your hands and your child hands upon entering the classroom.
Please send weather appropriate clothes for your child every day. We are required to go outside
for an hour daily, as long the temperature is above freezing and there is not any type of haz-

Dear PreK Up families,
The weather may be hot but we’re staying cool so far! We learned so much
about the rainforest and now we get to move on to our lessons for July which in-
clude America, and a big theme on the ocean. I’m excited to share these subjects
with the kids! Note that we will be closed on the Fourth of July.
During the summer we have many students on vacation and/or staying more at
home. Please be sure that we are aware when your child will not be here so we
can plan accordingly. Thanks!
Later in July we will be having our annual Going Away Party for our rising kinder-
gartners. More details to come!
Please make sure your child wears weather appropriate clothing.
Also be sure your child’s extra set of clothing is weather appropri-
ate as well. We go outside unless it is above 95 degrees.
Lastly, thank you all for your support…it helps more than you can
know. We appreciate you!

Dear Preschool 2 Parents,
June has been a fun month as we talked about Water, Camping, and America.
Thank you to everyone who came to our Independence Party! The children were so excited to
show you their patriotic performance of “Yankee Doodle”, and I couldn’t be prouder of them!
July will bring us to the Deep Blue as we learn about the Ocean, the beach, and marine animals.
We will also review our Alphabet with an island twist in “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”.
Just to let you know the school will be waxing floors the weekend of the 20th. So that you are
not surprise to see us moving things out, or an empty classroom on that Friday’s pick-up.
UTCCC will be closed Wednesday, July 4th for Independence Day. I hope everyone has a Happy
Fourth of July!
Just a reminder- to wash hands (yours and your child’s) upon entering the
classroom, even if they have washed in another classroom. Thank you for your
help on this!
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Mrs. Leah and Ms. Katie
Dear Pre-K Downstairs Parents,
It is so hard to believe it is already July! This month, we will be learning about Amer-
ica, the beach, and the ocean. We should have water days on Tuesday, July 3rd and
Wednesday, July 18th.
We will also have a “Happy Birthday, America,” picnic on Tuesday, July 3rd, at 3:30.
Parents and siblings are welcome to come join us. We will have snacks and juice,
and play outside. Please sign up on the list posted outside the classroom door if
you would like to help with this. If the weather is bad, we will make it an indoor
picnic. Remember that The UTC Children’s Center will be closed on Tuesday, July
4th, in observance of Independence Day.
Our assessment day should be in July. Please help us by remembering to follow
rules, such as labeling all food items and having your child wash hands upon en-
tering the classroom (even if they have visited and
washed in another room).
Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Taylor
