Wednesday, 16 July Miss Freida Joy Riley and the Rocket BoysHomer Hickim wrote a little piece titled "The Big Creek Missile Agency" that appeared in the Air & Space Magazine in the March 1995 fascicle: Homer Hickam's short article about his life as a young boy growing up in Coalwood, WV received so much acclaim and interest, he was asked to write a book: Rocket Boys. The memoir was published in September 1998 and the movie based on it, October Sky, premiered in February 1999.
