1. Preamble

Your point of contact is your local ServiceDesk or the IT Support Services. If you experience problems please feel free to contact your ServiceDesk or SuSe. Please keep your iPad up to date. This will minimize security issues and other problems. Before you update your iOS or the Citrix app, please ensure that the versions are tested by the IT-Services. Keep in mind, that a rollback to a previous version is not possible even with a Backup. Keep in mind, that you need working ssl-vpn credentials for using this application. 2. Installing and configuring the application For setting up a connection you have to install the Citrix-Receiver application. This application can be install via iTunes or directly on the iPad via the AppStore. Please do the following steps to install the application and configure the connection (from left to right):

To establish a connection, you also need your VPN account data. You will get this data at your local ServiceDesk.

Now you can start your applications or Fulldesktop by tipping on the desired button. Warning: If you are connected to a session please do not press the Homebutton to switch between the different apps running on your device. If you do so, you will be disconnected from the session and may be directed to another session at another logon. This can lead to data loss!

4. Using the application Here you can see an example for using the Fulldesktop. If you are not concerned with the use of Citrix for iPad, please read through the following sites. You can find other important information at the end of this document. Basically there are two different full desktop display methods. On the one hand (and automatically active) the Citrix custom touch interface, on the other hand the usual Windows environment. These two environments can be seen as in the screenshots above, changeable by a tap on the icon (marked red).

In addition for simple controlling a toolbar is available (the black tab with the white arrow in the middle of the top of the screen). This can be opened simply by a wipe. Here are the advanced functions (listed below):

Home: Switches back into the main menu (all open connections will be disconnected) Doing so will disconnect you from the session and you may be directed to another session at another logon. This can lead to data loss!

Switch: Switches between the sessions. This function is currently not available. Please do not click this button, else you will be disconnected!

In the touch optimized start menu you will find all programs and functions similar to the standard Windows Start menu in a touch optimized style. To logout please tap the Logoff button, otherwise only the connection will be dropped.

Important Information: If you are connected to a session, please do not press the home button. Doing so will disconnect you from the session and you may be directed to another session at another logon. This can lead to data loss! Please logout from the system when you finished your work. Also please logout from the Receiver and close the app completely.
