Using ProctorU to Take Your HESI A2

Registering and Paying for the HESI A2 There are a couple of steps to paying for the HESI A2 and testing through ProctorU. 

First you’ll need to visit https://hesistudentaccess.elsevier.com/payments.html?PaymentID=20483.  If 

you already have an Evolve account you can sign in and pay using payment ID 20483, and then you can 

skip to the “Registering and Paying ProctorU” section.  If you don’t already have an Evolve account, the 

instructions below will walk you through creating an account and registering.

"Checking Out" is what will allow you to make an Evolve account. Put in your information. Make sure to use an accurate name and to remember your password. Sometimes it is difficult for us to find test results for students because they have registered under a nickname that we don't know about!

Registering and Paying ProctorU After paying for you HESI A2 exam, go to: 

https://go.proctoru.com/session/new 

If you have used ProctorU you’ll already have an account and can sign in.  If not please make an account. 

This is a little more streamlined than making an Evolve Account!  A couple of things to keep in mind: 

For your “Institution” please select “Elsevier – HESI”.

Please make sure your First and Last name matches your legal ID (state ID or driver’s license)

After you make an account it should display: 

You want to “Schedule New Session”.  Here’s the selections you need:Institution: Elsevier - HESITerm: Tennessee TechSelect Your Exam: TNTech Upper Division Nursing HESI A2 - 2021

Pick the “Schedule for Later Date” option unless you want to start your test right away!  Test dates are 

available from: 

Monday November 16, 2020 8:00AM CST - Wednesday December 23, 2020 12:00PM CST

Thursday January 2, 2021 8:00AM CST - Saturday February 1, 2021 11:00PM CST

Allot 4.5 hours to complete the exam. It probably won't take you that long but that's the max time

allowed!

Things You’ll Need for the Exam • You will need either a laptop or desktop computer (Windows or Mac) that meets the

system operating requirements. 

You will need a valid state ID or driver’s license that you can show your proctor.

• Your device will need an internal or external camera and microphone in order to

communicate with the remote proctor during your exam. 

• At least 3Mbps network connection (wired or wireless) both upstream and downstream.

• Each remote proctor vendor has a compatibility check to run in addition to the HESI compatibility

check. Please complete both checks below well before attempting to complete your exam:

Logging In: At the time of the exam you’ll log in to ProctorU using your ProctorU account info.  After

you are connected to ProctorU, you will go to https://hesiinet.elsevier.com and login.  Your proctor

will then enter the exam code for you and you will be prompted to run the secure exam launcher.

Your proctor can assist you with minor exam problems, and if you’re disconnected and have no luck

getting back in ProctorU can assist you at:
