Why laptops would be good in the classroom?

• Be able to use a lot of different programs.• Be able to read books/being able to listen

as well on the laptop• Be able to write their papers on the laptops• Be able to type notes• Great for the English Language Learners• Students will learn how to type, and use

the computers.

Strengths and Weakness

• Learn how to type, and use of computer.

• Great for EEL, to read and listen.

• Be able to save their work on memory sticks

• Be able to print their work right there when their done

• Might have them students who don’t listen and want to play games.

• Not every student would be able to do homework at home, if it pertains to the use of computer.

Afford these?

• There are grants for schools to receive these laptops.

• Multiple students can use them.

• Parents will be able to look, at their progress when they come in for parent teacher conferences.- save on papers for this.

Computers are number 1 used machine in the world today!!

• House holds have them.

• Workplaces have them.

• Computers are used everywhere! I have not been to any job that doesn’t use computers, so when students use them in the classroom everyday, they are learning the computer.

Libraries

• Some low income schools may not have libraries that are equipped with computers, or not enough books for kids to read.

• You can get books downloaded into the computers to read, and use them for assignments that are required to use the internet.
