Using Hoover’s Premium Database to Find Company and

Industry Information

Begin at the DSC Library Website

• From the Databases page, click on the letter H.• Scroll down until you find Hoover’s Premium. Click on

the title.• This will bring you to the log in page. Your Borrower ID is

your student ID number and the PIN is the last four digits of your Social Security number.• If this doesn’t work, call the library at (386)506-3055 and

they can reset it for you over the phone.

Click on “Databases”

Click the blue button that says “Continue.”

Then search using your company’s name. Example: McDonalds Inc. Use the dropdown menu to choose your company (usually the top on the list).

Change the default search from All Categories to Company

Note: Hoover’s does not have scholarly/academic journal articles. For those, use Business Source Complete.

Use the links in the “Company Index” box to find what you’re looking for.

You still have to cite this information. The author’s name is in small print above the Company Index box.You can email these sources to yourself.
