INTRODUCTION TO FACEBOOK

Congratulations on getting this guide consisting of 4 parts. This book will be

as straight to the point as it can get. That means that there will be no fluff or

any additional theories written just to make the book longer.

Basically, everything you need to know to make money via ecommerce and

Facebook Marketing is contained in this book.

The process of making money via e-commerce is pretty simple.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

Step 1 - Choose Your Market and Products

First, it is important to discuss how to pick good markets, those perfect for

Facebook marketing. I will also include a resource that you can use. As a

drop-shipper the product is manufactured and shipped for you so you don’t

have to do anything except market the products.

Choosing a market for Facebook marketing is the same as choosing a

market for other marketing platform. For this business model, we want

something that already has a big fan base around. Look for something where

there is already a big community around it.

Before choosing niche or product you need to ask this question, is there a

huge demand for the product I want to sell? (How big or small is the

market?). There are so many ways to do research for the product and I

listed major ones. As longer as you want to run ads via Facebook make sure

you have chosen a good product.

Let us assume you want to sell a men’s watch. The first step is to use the

Facebook search bar to get ideas what other people are selling. Visit

different pages and post on the websites listed on their Facebook pages.

Why do you need to do this?

It is important to get ideas on what sell and what doesn’t.

Once you see the suggested pages click “see all” word to look at more

pages. Once you’re on the pages, find out if they have website URL listed,

then open the website.

When you are on website, the first thing you need to do is to find out what is

their best-selling product, before looking at the structure and other aspects

of their site. This is very important because drop-shipper prefer to use post

that is created inside ad manger and not visible on Facebook page.

Some people have a button where you can see the bestsellers, but some

don’t. If the website is built with Shopify, there is easy way to find the best

selling product with less hassle.

All you do is enter the following format after the name of the website:

www.examplename.com/collections/all?/sort_by=best-selling

Suddenly you will see the products re-arrange themselves usually, unless

the site was not built by the Shopify app or the owner disables that feature.

Once you find the best selling product, it’s time to go to aliexpress.com to

check if those products can be drop-shipped. If you find the products, add

them to your store. A second method to find products to sell is by using

large websites like amazon.com, aliexpress.com, watchcount.com, and etc.

Watchcount.com is the website that shows you the best selling product on

eBay. The beauty of this website is that you can find the bestselling products

in different countries.

In this example, assume you want to find the bestselling men watch in USA,

click “show me” button and you will see all men watch. This website gives

you the option to choose the best selling product for each country. Use this

website to get ideas of what is working in any particular country and what is

not.

Also you can use amazon.com to find the best selling products. It’s very

easy to find best sellers there because each category shows the bestselling

products in that category and how many orders any individual product may

have. Another popular website is aliexpress.com. There you can sort

products by orders, reviews, prices, and etc.

Finding bestselling products is crucial to your Facebook marketing. But you

should also remember that bestselling products from other peoples stores,

or amazon.com, aliepress.com, and etc. does not mean those products will

sell well on your store as well.

It will take testing to find your own bestselling product. It’s is very normal to

see something work on one site, but does not work well on your website.

After finding bestselling products, it’s now time to set up your store. The

easy way to set up your store is by modeling your competitor’s stores.

Remember in the first step I told you to find a website in your niche. Now

it’s time to see how they structure their store. Before modeling their store

structure for yourself, make sure the website looks legit, clean and straight

forward.

Why you need to model the store structure?

You don’t need to reinvent the wheel if the structure works for them, it is

possible it can work for you as well.

I know it’s hard to pick exact colors because most of us don’t know the color

types. You can use the www.colorzilla.com/ chrome extension to detect

color codes. It is very simple to use. Go to the link and choose the chrome

extension and add to your Chrome browser.

Once you add it, you can go to any website, hover over any part of the

website, and you can see the correct color code.

To get the code, click on the hovered section. The color code will be copied

to your clipboard, then can be used on your website.

Now let us talk about countries to establish the market.

Before choosing the countries or where you want to market, ask yourself the

following questions:

What payment method will I be using?

cash on delivery

online payment (paypal, stripe and etc.)

application like whatsapp or other applications most popular in Asia

Which counties buy more online more than others?

Obviously, English speaking countries purchase more online than non-

English speaking counties. This does not mean you should not sell to non-

English speaking counties.

If you have a local store and sell to local people, you can collect money more

easily. But if you are selling internationally, you should test the product in

English speaking counties first, then sell to non-English speaking counties

later, after finding your best-selling product.

Okay…

I know you might be wondering how many products you should import to

your store. I recommend to start with just a few products first.

Why?

With just a few products, it will help you to learn about Facebook marketing

faster. With just a few products you will need to use a different approach

and figure out what techniques work better and what doesn’t. I recommend

starting with less than 10 products and focusing on marketing to less than 5

countries.

Step 2: Set up Facebook page, image design and post structure.

Obviously, everyone likes good looking, clean pages with good readable text.

First of all create a brand new page (choose product or brand category) then

write a short description about your page.Add your website url, plus page

cover photo and profile.

To design a Facebook page cover photo use canva.com website or any other

image website. Make sure the cover design will be able to speak something

about your business.

Remember to check on your competitor’s pages and get ideas about how

you can come up with your own cover photo. You can create a simple cover

photo like the one below, especially if you are focused on selling the same

item.

But if it is a generic store, add some text inside your cover photo.

To make sure you have a clean page with readable text, you need to use the

same photo pixel throughout your post or mix different pixel sizes, but make

sure it looks nice on mobile devices and laptops. I recommend using 600 x

600, 400 x 400, on Facebook and 800 x 800 on Instagram. When it comes

to writing text on your post, use short copy.

This is an example of a clean page with readable text:

https://www.facebook.com/Luxury-Mens-Watches-for-Sale-

617430041642455/?ref=br_rs

I love the image size but not the copy or text on the post. Make sure to

come up with short and sweet text before posting on your page.

Avoid publishing posts like this;

To publish a post on Facebook, go to canva.com to design your image in 400

x 400 or 600 x600 format. Upload your image to the page, then write your

copy (text). Finally, use Google’s URL shortener, bitly.com or something

similar to shorten the product url.

Before we go any further, I want to talk about photos and video posts. We’re

at a time where people prefer to watch videos before purchasing. If you

want to sell products like watches, jewelry, bracelets or anything similar,

these products images will work fine.

But if you want to sell products like skin care, hair care and anything similar,

you will need to create videos or use other people’s videos to show how your

products can solve their problem and showcase your own product.

Why use videos?

Video is an easy way to create interest and spread information about your

brand. It also gives you the capability of retargeting people who watch your

videos.

Okay, so what do I recommend?

I recommend using more videos than images.

So how can you use video to sell a watch? You can use video by showcasing

different people wearing the same watch. Also, you can use YouTube and

similar websites to find videos related to your niche, editing them before

publishing of course.

Two ways to post on your page

First, post on the page itself and second via your ad manager.

Why I should post on a page or via the ad manager?

Posting on a page allows people to see all post. Writing and publishing your

post via ad manger is good if you want to publish the post later (after one

week, one day and etc.) and creating an unpublished post (called a dark

post) that can be used to run ads only and won’t be visible on the page

forever.
