How to get started

Click document, book ensembles most InDesign documents

but to start click document

Make sure your intent is print and add the number of

pages you wish, you can add more later, also click the

facing pages which is important when creating a book.

Click ok when you have finished adding the details you

wish to require.

How to add an image

Click rectangle frame tool, drag to whatever size which the image will be

dragged into by opening an image from your documents and dragging into

your rectangle .

To resize in the top right hand corner click one of the fitting commands, to

make the image fit originally proportionally click film frame proportionally. To

add more than one at once select both images when holding down ctrl.

How to add text

Using the text tool create a box the size your wanting and click t in the box , add the

text you want, you can edit the size, and font by the tools on the top panel that will

appear above. If the frame is bigger than text you can again fit to frame which will

change the frame to fit the correct proportion of the text like the images.

You can also use columns by using the tools above changing the layout, you can

delete any unwanted text by clicking the selected text and pressing Del on your

keyboard.
