" A r t a n d t e c h n o l o g y c a n g o h a n d i n hand" (L.DaVinci) Inspired by the famous maxim of the Italian genius, Gurus Amps not only compromises the realization of his amps, choosing the best materials and technology available, but also by an excellent design, functionality and the image of its products. Gurus TRITONE is inspired by the design of some Italian icons from the world of racing have made unique the "Italian way" combining art and technology. "Gurus is not just a brand, it is a project, an idea, a vision precisely. We can not think about the future without remembering what was our past. "

We believe that the headlong rush to the Far East to reduce costs, is in its descending phase, which has already shown all its limitations, economic, social, environmental and functional first. We were born as a small company that built the best that technology had to offer, always looking for the best materials, the best components, to achieve something that was going to fill the gap that formed between what the market had to offer and what it represented the real needs of musicians. It’s by the close contact with guitar players at all levels, the size of "custom shop" ready to take new needs, criticisms, suggestions, which over the years has allowed us to create innovative products. We were the first in the world to make a mini head, low watt, that offered the great amps sound even at low volumes, taking advantage of the purity of Class A amplifier, at a time when all our competitors proposed big power heads. Today all the major manufacturers of amplifiers have a low watt mini-head in its catalogue. We were the first in the world to make a fully analogue tube amplifier, totally programmable. Today many are also along this path.

With Gurus we also wanted to continue in the path of innovation, giving meaning to our mile stones of the past to create something modern that still had not been done yet. Thus was born iChannel. Gurus Amps are designed to provide the best possible interface to your favorites external digital devices, as smartphones, tablets, personal computers, multi-effects pedals. iChannel receives the signal from an external pre or a multi-effect and combines it with an ultralinear Hi-end Power section able to convey all the nuances of emulation software in use, thus maximizing the effectiveness of amp modeling, effects, etc. ...

With Gurus we wanted to implement these ideas, and to do that we have formed a team. Young designers, engineers, graphic designers, commercial. Combining skills and passions of each to create something unique, new, 100% Italian. Philosophy "no compromise", return to the absolute highest quality, from design to construction, the finest materials available, the best available technology to achieve a target of quality really challenging.

All This is our beliefs. All this is Gurus Amps.

About TubesAs the Gurus TRITONE operates in two differents power Class configuration, it is needed to set both the BIAS when swapping power tubes, so it is strictly recommended to be done by a technician.

The most common signs of run-down tubes could be: excessive noise, hi microphonic, power loss, loss of high frequencies, bad bottom end or/and uncontrolled changes of the output volume.

Tubes Live is estimated to 3000 hours. This depends by tube production quality.

Tubes Replacement

Gurus Tritone has been designed using a chassis made of Aeronautical Aluminum to reduce weight and assure the bes performances of mechanical strenght. Also Weights distribution has been studied and the handle position has been choose for the best comfort handling it.

MIDI PRESETS STORAGE:

With a midi pedalboard connected (Transmission channel settled as Omnimode) - select a preset - then select a channel pressing 1 or 2 times the Ch. Switch (18.19.20) - now save it pressing the Store switch (17). All preset are rewritable, don’t need to clean memory.

iChannel™ offer the opportunity to receive and fit analog or digital external preamplifiers. The high quality of input and output buffers ensure tone with unexpected dynamic.

Tritone opens a new world, offering the right interface to use the best software designed for guitar sounds usable with: smartphone, tablet, DAW.

Some example: Guitar > iChannel input Fx Loop Send > Input1 Audio Interface (or an external guitar processor, modeler, profiler, etc..) Out Audio Interface > Fx Loop Return Cab Mic > Input 2 Audio Interface Then you can record a Clean Track from input 1 and and another track from input 2 with your favorite plugins. And you can use Tritone as a re-amping machine with incredible dynamic and results!

Analog Footswiches wiringTritone can be managed by a standard Midi controller or via Analog Switching Systems. Just connect 3 standard Jack/Jack cables to have full control of all 6 Channels of Tritone, according to following schematics. Be sure your Switching device supports Momentary mode.

ConnectionsRig 1

- Guitar in NORMAL input - MultiFx unit in Fx Loop - Cabinet - Midi pedalboard

This is the classic way to use a Head, connected with one or more cabinets, (checking impedance) And using a Midi Controller to handle the 6 Channels of Tritone (phantom powered), coupled with your favorite FX units connected in the FX Loop. Set the FX unit or the Tritone’s loop Switch for better fit the level: hi or Lo Z impedance (Hi for pedals, most of rack units, basically all operates at “Line” level)

Rig 2 - Guitar in iChannel Input - DAW in the iChannel Loop

(hi/low Z selected if not LINE level) - Cabinet - Midi Pedalboard

The iChannel input, let you interface your Tritone with other external processor, like a Smartphone, Tablet, DAW or everything else can emulate amp and Fx, without needing any interfaces. Just connect it to the iChannel loop (the Fx loop, setting the Switch on Low Z for example with a Tablet). So: Guitar>iChannel input Tritone Send>input of device (or audio interface) Output of Device> Tritone Return Now the guitar signal is treated by software, using the Tritone as a re-amping machine, and let you use your favorite emulator, respecting all the nuance of the software thanks to its very linear power section, adding warm and tube Dynamic.

Rig 3 - Guitar in NORMAL input - Pedals in Fx loop (HI Z selected) - Analog switching connected - Cabinet

This example shows how to use a Tritone with a complex pedalboard, using an Analog Switching system. With 3 mono jack cables you can handle all the 6 channels of Tritone. Pedals can be connected in front amp or in the loop as you prefer and managed by the same Looper/switcher.

Filter Diagrams

SEXY TONE: It is a passive control that changes the EQ curve acting on the entire range of frequencies, is in fact easy to note that by acting on the amount of high, at the same time you have a shift in the shape of the medium and a sensitive intervention but very linear in the low, that are always rounded and focused The advantages of this kind of control, are to merge into a practical single potentiometer a true multi-band filter, able to respond to requests that our ear tells us, without ever

TONE STACK: A Traditional Bass, Middle, Treble tone stack is dedicated to dirty channels: 3-4-5-6 In the diagram, you can see how effective the controls are.
