    LIGHtING BURNERSElectronic ignitionThesehobsarefittedwithmainspoweredelectronicignition.Whentheappliancehasbeenconnectedandthepowerison,depressinganyknobwillreleasesparkstoallburners.Tolightaburner,depressthecorrespondingknobandwhilecontinuingtodepressknobturnanticlockwiseto‘HI’position.Theknobmaybereleasedoncetheflameisestablished,andturnedfurtheranticlockwisetoreducetheflameheightasdesired.

    •Checkthattheinserthasbeenfittedcorrectly. •Checkthattheturretscrewisfullyscreweddown. •Checkthattheregulatorhasbeenfittedtothegas

    supplylineinthecorrectorientation,thearrowonthebaseofthebodyindicatesthedirectionofgasflow.

    CHECKING GAS SUppLY

    ignitethegas.Note: It will take additional time to light the gas for the first time as air needs to be purged from the pipes.4. Checktheoperatingpressurefortheparticulargastype.

    CHECKING tHE fUNCtIoN of tHE REGULAtoR

    Withtheapplianceoperatingchecktheoutletpressure:• whenallburnersoftheapplianceareoperatingat

    maximum,• whenthesmallestburneroftheapplianceisoperating

    atminimum.Undertheseconditionstheoutletpressureshouldnotvaryfromthenominaloutletpressurebymorethan±20%ofthenominaloutletpressure(ie±0.20kPaforNaturalGas).Iftheregulatorappearstonotbeperformingsatisfactorilythencheckthefollowingpoints.1. Iftheoutletpressureisconsistentlytoolowthenthe

    inletpressuremaybetoolowandadjustmentofanupstreamregulatormaybeneeded,oranupstreamregulatororvalvewithinsufficientflowcapacitymaybepresentinthegassupplyline.Ifthisissuspectedthenitmaybenecessarytorepeatthecheckswhilstmeasuringboththeinletandoutletpressuretodetermineiftheinletpressureisintherange1.13–5kPa.

    2. Checkthattheregulatorhasbeenfittedtothegassupplylineinthecorrectorientation,thearrowonthebaseofthebodyindicatesthedirectionofgasflow.

    • observetheflameappearanceoneachburner.Ifitismuchsmallerorlargerthanexpected,thentheinjectorsizeneedschecking.

    Note: When flame is unsatisfactory, then refer to the electrolux technical Publications and correct the fault, if possible.Whenmaximumflameappearanceiscorrect,thenchecktheturn-downsettingoneachburner.Ifthesettingsappeartobeincorrect,proceedasfollows:1. Adjustthebypassscrewmountedonthebodyofeach

    hotplatecontrolcock.Thisisaccessiblewhenthecontrolknobandthecontrolpanelareremoved.

    2. Checktheignitiononallburnersbothseparatelyandincombination.

    3. Checktheoperationoftheelectricalcomponents,ifapplicable.

    4. Ifyouaresatisfiedthatthecookerisoperatingcorrectly,thenturnitoffandshowthecustomerhowtouseit.Makesureyouaskthecustomertooperatetheclockandcontrols.
