Thanksgiving Ski/Snowboard Trip • November 26-29Zell am See/Kaprun, Austria$369 adult, $189 child, BOSS $330 A family-friendly Thanksgiving ski/snowboard trip to Kaprun/Zell am See, Austria. Trip includes three overnights with din-ners and breakfasts, including a special Thanksgiving dinner. Ski/Snowboard lessons are available upon advanced request, by certified PSIA and AASI instructors. Lift passes not in-cluded. Departs Katterbach at 9 a.m. Thursday and returns approximately 6 p.m. Sunday.

4-Day Ski/Snowboard Trip • January 15-182 Glaciers Austria$299 adult, $159 child, BOSS $269 Start the New Year out by participating in this ski/snowboard weekend trip to two amazing Austrian glaciers. We will visit Pitztal on Saturday, and Sölden on Sunday. The group will overnight in Oetz, Austria conveniently located in the bottom of the Oetz and Pitztal valleys. An option will be to add an-other day on the mountain Monday before departing for Ans-bach. Trip includes three overnights in an Austrian guesthouse with breakfast. Departs Katterbach at 10 a.m. on Friday and returns approximately 6 p.m. Monday.

4-Day Ski/Snowboard Trip • February 12-15Corvara, Italy$369 adult, $189 child, BOSS $330 Enjoy some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the Italian Dolomites. Friday will be a travel day and after check-ing into our hotel we’ll enjoy some famous Italian cuisine. On Saturday and Sunday, there are plenty of options to consider including the famous “Sella Ronda” a series of lifts that circles the “Sella” group of mountains. Trip includes three overnights in an Italian guesthouse with breakfast. Ski/snow-board lessons available upon advanced request by certified PSIA and AASI instructors. Lift passes not included. Departs Katterbach at 9 a.m. on Friday and returns approximately 6 p.m. Monday.

3-Day Ski/Snowboard Trip • March 26-28Ischgl, Austria$325 adult, $175 child, BOSS $295 One of the largest ski/snowboard areas in Europe on the Austrian/Switzerland boarder. We will enjoy two overnights in a Ski-in/Ski-out guesthouse on the mountain side. A snow-cat will transport your luggage up the mountain to the guesthouse. Sunday evening we will meet in Ischgl for the best Après’ Ski fun Austria has to offer. Later that evening, the group meets in town for an evening ride up the mountain to the guesthouse in a snow-cat. Ski/Snowboard lessons are available upon request, by certified PSIA and AASI Instruc-tors. Trip includes transportation and two overnights with din-ner and breakfast. Departs Katterbach at 4 a.m.on Saturday and returns approximately 6 p.m. Monday.

All instructors are certified Professional Ski Instructors of America, and American Association of Snowboard Instruc-tors. Skills covered may include equipment familiarization, sliding, edging and pressure control movements, rotary movements, balance, turning and stopping. More experi-enced? We’ll help you experience the challenges of steeps, moguls and deeper snow. Lessons are available on any of our one day and overnight trips.

Depending on the weather and slope conditions, instruction will be conducted locally at Burgbernheim, between Ansbach and Illesheim. Learn the basics on a gentle slope and learn how to ride the lifts. All sessions will depart from Katter-bach at 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.

alpine touring“Earn Your Turns”As an alternative to standing in lift lines at some of the resorts we’ll be visiting this season, take a pair of our state-of-the-art Alpine Touring Skis with climbing skins and make your own way up the mountain. Not only do you save the price of a lift pass, you’ll get a fantastic car-diovascular work-out amidst some of the most beautiful scenery you can imagine. Once atop the mountain, remove your climbing skins, put them in your backpack, lock down your bindings in alpine ski mode, and ski down enjoying every turn you’ve just earned.

cross country skiingA great way to enjoy the winter environment and beautiful scenery while getting a good cardiovascular workout. All ski areas we visit throughout the winter offer well-marked, groomed, cross country trails.

Pick-ups are available from Storck Barracks if personal transportation is unavailable, upon advanced request.

Passports are required on all out-of-Germany trips.

Participants enhance their quality of life, contribute to their community through commu-nity service activities, and assist in the planning and execution of their own recreation and leisure events. All active BOSS program soldiers will receive a dis-count on all ODR ski/snowboard trips.
