Dear actors of the textile industry, by cross-checking groups of thoughts, aesthetic currents, social

influences, anthropological and artistic events, our intention at present is to offer you our current vision of future synergies. Fashion’s influences of the society-to-be.For us, the artist is the center of creation, he crystallizes the doubts and hopes of our civilizations. This is why it appears that the artist holds the truth. Not the absolute truth, which probably does not exist, but the truth regarding a view of the world. There are many visionaries in this world; it’s up to each person to read them in his own way… Let us name some of them to you.Professional expertise on image, style, authors and the cross view of creative personalities, proposes an overall vision of the world of tomorrow here: our trends. We wish you happy reading.

er 2018 - introduction

What if the solutions were actually there? Right there in front of us. Since always. And what if the obstacles only existed in our eyes? And what if it were enough for us to look at the world differently? Each detour is a chance to take a new road. Each failure, a chance to reinvent oneself. We enter an era of action and everywhere our hands find material to be modelled. Nothing is holding us back any longer. The world is a possibility. We thought we were stumbling, when we were actually learning to walk. It was winter and we no longer believed in spring. Here comes the time of buds. Never was any time so fertile. The future is uncertain and it is the most beautiful thing that could ever have happened to us.

Plato would be proud. We are finally leaving our cave. The shadows have disappeared and we are bathed in light. The world is an endless field of flowers. A vertigo of possibilities. Smells, colors… a tornado of feelings. The mind no longer follows; the heart is overwhelmed. The body takes its own decisions. It bathes in Spring. Humanity has fought its revolution, concluded its cycle. The end has done its time, it’s time for a beginning. A new story. Centuries of white pages before us. No rule, no barrier. Just bend down and pick. Pick the moment, of course, but the future especially. Because tomorrow is a door we are opening today.

metaphysicsAll this seems so obvious now. Were we blind? Did we refuse to see? There was no need to dream or imagine. To analyze or theorize. It was sufficient to look. The roads of possibilities cross our way each day. Changing the future is as simple as changing sidewalks. And the world urges us to do so. Revolution will happen daily. Because there is nothing more ordinary than changing the world.

Cian Oba-smith.Attraction/Repulsion. The suburbs fascinate. How can this concentrate of everyday life, urban banality, tarred reality be so attractive? This is the question that Cian Oba-Smith seeks to answer from behind his lens. The suburbs are a non-sanitized ground. Like the latest original campaigns, they represent a complete universe. A fully inhabited world. A place whose every parcel is exploited, known and integrated. And suddenly, this weave of the obvious takes on fantastic accents.

The daily newspaper has become a miracle. And the fantastic has become common. Icons don’t die, they descend from their throne. Since everything is doable, nothing is essential any more. Gods are no longer our models, but inspirations are. Companions in daily life. Nothing is sacred any longer when a new world is stretching out its arms on each street corner. No more hierarchy. Anyone can be the creator of his universe. Everyone has the capacity of genesis. At the beginning there was the human being.

Raquel Rodrigo / Arqui Costura. The cold is no longer part of this world. The craft industry becomes ground-breaking. The street art of Raquel Rodrigo and her team draws from ancestral know-how and the latest marketing stunt. Her weaving connects the teams and people. Going beyond set frames, she creates a new universe, instinctively understood by everyone. In the mix of creativity embracing our time, there is a certain alchemy approaching a universal language.

The possibilities are endless. Something to lose one’s head over. So many futures are offered to us. To not drift off. To concentrate on only one path and to explore it. To make one’s own way. Together, we will take a step into each universe. We will use each opportunity. Humanity has the gift of ubiquity. Not man. Together, we will be everywhere, because each one of us will be somewhere. No more standards, no more herd behavior. Everyone writes a new page and the final account will look like Utopia. Because everything will have been said. Finally.

Frank and Patrik Riklin.Only humans limit themselves. The universe, however, knows that everything is possible. To live with comfort and nature? That is possible, of course. And why oppose them? Frank and Patrik Riklin from the Atelier für Sonderaufgaben (Workshop for special Assignments) and the hotel keeper, Daniel Charbonnier, thus offer a room outdoors. The comfort of a hotel and the wild beauty of one night under the stars. Keep the best of each universe, that is also what a world without restrictions means. At 1.800 meters of altitude in the Swiss Alps, discovering the most starlit hotel on the planet.

There are so many things to do. And we who thought we were blocked, here we are, dazed by possibilities. A step back and the painting is captivating. A galaxy of opportunities. Today, still appearances of chaos. But tomorrow, constellations will loom. The patterns will fall into place. There is no sense in wanting to give orders for the moment. Be content to act. Move on, simply out of pleasure. Embrace this multitude and become the privileged spectator of the birth of a new era.

It is sometimes so obvious that there is nothing to think about. As if the world had found its muse. Inspiration is everywhere in the air. A detail, a banality, are enough to build. A dash of creation. Almost irrepressible. Simple. One plays, one diverts, one modifies. The world is a game without rules. Our environment is modelling clay. No great theories. No schools of thought. Each person acts in the moment. Desire is law. We missed warmth so much that spontaneity is a whiff of oxygen. Tomorrow, our instinct could well be our best guide.

Nicolas Ritter. Each person uses it privately. Integrates its codes and standards into his or her intimacy. Facebook created a world for a billion people. A world shared in silence. And what if it became public. If its silent laws finally came to life. Their nonsense would be striking. Nicolas Ritter wants his series of photographs to be humorous, but looking at his pictures with the fantastic colours, we shiver in terror. Virtual life is truly absurd when it comes to life.

Science is the new inspiration. If we must think tomorrow, then let’s do it. Neither the atom, nor the galaxy shall be neglected. The next step will be either spontaneous, or the fruit of an overall reflexion. The universe whips up its own rules and there is no more question of freeing oneself. Existence is a current against which we have fought too much. Science is a poetry which we were unaware of, only because we were not its authors. The melody of life is an equation. It is time to act from the heart.

Atelier 37.2.Francesca Bonesio and Nicolas Guiraud are fascinated by Anthropocene. Our contemporary time for the geologists, characterized by the impact of man on his environment. The Italian architect and the French photographer draw conclusions from them. Today, places are marked by human features. Space and time become sociological. Even spiritual. Both artists underline this in order to make us face our own reality, while maintaining some leeway for imagination.

We are tired of the urgency. We fussed in a despaired sprint, but time is not our enemy. The beat of our hearts has slowed. Creation happens at the rate of the cosmos. Grain after grain. The basis of our future quietly crystallizes. We used to live at the rate of our ephemeral existences. Today, we extend our aspirations. Larger than we are. Time is not human and our humility finally accepts this. Patience is wisdom. A refuge in the face of frenzy.

Method Design. All is merely movement and matter. Since the beginning of time. And it is time to bring a little innovation into these immutable rules. Tear down borders. Mix esthetics. Have them dance in an anthropomorphic choreography. As if man and his world had come together in a frantic waltz. A party celebrating the Beginning of all Things. Modern clay is modelled in turn. A contemporary and insane cosmogony. A creative myth of the future, rid of the tired routine.

If the future is uncertain then the present is malleable. It adapts to each form and embraces the curves of time. It is prepared. It fears neither change, nor innovation. Fixed certainties have led us to a dead end. Spirits open up, paths take shape and the horizon of possibilities forms once more before our eyes. Eternity lied in the movement. Solidity is an illusion of stability. The present is written with a light hand and flexibility. The stuff dreams are made of.

The little melody of the pessimists has penetrated everywhere. We were told that it was too late, to often. In this nihilist time, we discovered true freedom. No more rules, no more hierarchy. Since there is no more obligation, everything becomes possible. It is in the face of the end, that one really starts to live. An uncontrollable wave ripples. Humanity quivers from opportunity. Creation is permanent, omnipresent. Unprecedented. The paintings are drawn outside their frames. Excitement is too strong to take limits. Desire is our only legitimacy. And if this messy creation gave birth to a perennial future? And if anarchy were the only law of the universe?

Everywhere. Opportunities are everywhere. Permanent. Too many perhaps? No. Never too many. Our time wants it all. Can do it all. Accepts all. There is no reason to hold back. Decline nothing. Allow oneself to do anything. Collect possibilities. The world has become an experiment. And tomorrow could well be born from serendipity. If not, the last days will have been a party. A cry of freedom. Of love. An attempt to embrace existence as a whole. If humanity must explode, it will be through an explosion of joy. A profusion of passion.

Before such an expansion, some feel giddiness. Freedom destroys desire. Too little accustomed to this, creation always requires its frame. Like a plant’s need for support. Some reassuring laws. To accompany more than to restrict. From these artificial limits a new work of art will be born. Called to swell. To blossom. Everyone chooses the size of the canvas on which he wants to paint. Some will project their colors before their feet, others on the whole world. It doesn’t matter. Since there are no more rules.

The sacred does not die. Never. It moves on. After thousands of years, the art works are no longer the ones being worshipped. Nor are the artists. But the process is. Creation becomes an end in itself. Only actions count, since nothing else remains. The causes died with a past to be forgotten. Consequences only exist in an uncertain future. There remains the present and its actions. The only one on the throne in the pinnacle of humanity. Reality is the new god. That which one can feel, taste and touch. Our senses dictate our devotions. Olympus is on Earth and we are all living there.
