All rating badges are worn on the left hleeve between the shoulder and elbow. All distinguishing marks (gun captain, pangefinder operators, etc.) are worn on [he right sleerre between sh-oulder ald Branch marks are no longer required, being replaced by the new nonrated marks, and cuflmarks are worn only as a decora- tive feature, consisting of three stripes. Persons holding ratings which existed nrior to 2 April continue to wear the same inecialtv mark, with the exception of rida.m6n, photilgrapher's mates, hospital corpsmen. patternmakers, and molders. Pav sride and rating group of nonrated men are indicated by diagonal stripes worn on left sleeve in same position prescribed for rating badges. elbow, except that aviation and submarine sualification awards are worn on the left r 2aqqqq
