URINE FOR AFB (TB) PATIENT INSTRUCTIONS

•x3 sterile containers, provided (pictured)

Safety Precautions

•Do not overfill containers.

Instructions

1. Collect first early morning urine sample for 3 consecutive days.

2. Collect as much as possible of urine stream into the container provided.

3. Secure the lid firmly on each container.

4. Write your Full Name, Date of Birth and Gender, along with the date and time of collection on eachcontainer.

5. Keep sample 1 and 2 refrigerated until the third sample is collected. Bring all 3 samples and the requestform to the Pathology rooms on the third day.
