Located in the central of java, our design fo-cusing on people interaction and facilitating street ven-dors. We broaden the pedestrian way and applied the tree more so that peopl are more comfortable to walk inside their city. In Several spots people can sit and enjor their city under the tent chair. On the other spots lies loca-tion for sellers and some sating facility. This tipical spots are made to facilitate the street vendors who usu-ally taking the pedestrian ways to sell their products illegally, that is why the goverment are asking us to find some solutions to facilitate these people. On one side we place a different level of pedes-trian way to make more variations and to make people eve more comfortable to walk on the pedestrian ways, because this way people has different level with the cars.

Due to the climate and tempera-ture in Indonesia, the tree ap-plication is a big must in this desgin. We placed one big tree every 5 metres on the road, therefore it is going to be a natural canopy.More seatings are also applied so that people can sit and enjoy the surrounding by interacting with each other.

This Food Court were design for the street vendors relocations in Sidoarjo. It is filled with food stands and chairs and tables for the costumers to eat. The challenge in this design is that we have to be able to make as much stands as we can, but still in a interactive way, so that the people are still attracted to come and eat in this area. To make people interested to come in this area, we place a big plasa on the front of the building so that people can only come and have their public place also enjoy their surrounding. This plasa alco facilitated with small stage under a big tent roofing. People who come can also enjoy the music which is played in this area. With a great design and good building system people coming from different social level will be willing to come and eat in this area.

Bird Eye View

The hot temperature is the biggest challenge in this design. Located in the middle of the dense city, the wind will be blocked by buildings and not be able to reach this area. That is why a hall is needed to be located on the side of the buil-din to modify the situation, allowing the wind to be created and causing a cooler temperature. Trees and huge roof covering will also cover the people from the sun creating a coler temperature aswel.
