Session 12: Upper Basin Perspectives & Transboundary Management The  upper  basin  regions  of  international  rivers  in  Southwest  China  and  Southeast  Asia  has  been  the  key  research  area.  

In  this  region,  many  research  activities  have  been  carried  out.  For  example,  Asian  International  Rivers  Center  (AIRC)  had  over  40  research  projects  in  the  region  in  2014.  

Our  research  group  for  ecological  security  at  Yunnan  University,  2012

(1)  improve knowledge, skills and practice on sustainable utilization of transboudary water resources, basin-wide;

(2) strengthen dialog and communication of transboundary water resources management.

This session seeks to:
