Open Access Users Association
Introduction
OAUA has been formed under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 on 4th August 2012.
OAUA is a forum of Open Access (O.A) users which aims to create a responsible forum to highlight consumer awareness on various types of O.A charges levied by different States and their implications.
OAUA also aims at adhering to safety, security & commercial issues to all Open Access consumers in the Power Market.
We also aim to highlight technical requirements/parameters which are insisted upon by the State Transmission & Distribution companies which may not be required.

Current Open Access Scenario in UP
Uttar Pradesh govt. is not providing open access for interstate, only for intra
state they are providing Open Access but as the tariff is too high industries
are not able to purchase power through open access.
UP has not allowed even a single industrial or commercial unit the facility of
open access, though regulations are in place, industry sources said.
Most of the industries are closed down in UP in the past one year as because
of increasing Tariff Rates and even some of them are moving to different
states like HP.
