In most cases, Windows will automatically detect the new hardwareand install the necessary software drivers. If Windows does notautomatically install the software drivers, Try Running Windowsupdate, hope it finds the suitable driver

if you are installed latest driver then run the Sound DeviceTroubleshooter by going to control panel search pane, typetrouble shoot, click on find and fix problems, select sound and checkthe issue

you can visit Toshiba site for more information on your satellite bookfor your conveniencehttp://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp?nav=Download&sn=falseclick the link select your model and download the drivers and checkthe issue.

    Does it Work?

    Hi

you can open Device Manager and verify whether there is anexclamation mark or question in it. If so, please right click it andupgrade the driver. please update BIOS if not updatedVerify whether the "Windows Audio" service is started or not.ClickStart, type Services.msc in the Start Search box.2. Scroll down the list of services, right-click Windows Audio andselect Start .3. Select Properties for Windows Audio and set its StartupType to Automatic .try loading default settings in BIOS (you will get a option to setdefault) check the issue. Are you getting any error?

    Hey again,

There is a exclamation mark on a yellow background. Driver is up todate.

I don't know how to update bios.

Windows Audio is not an active process that I can see.

I don't know how to load the default bios.

Will messing with the bio wipe any data? I need some data on here.

    Thanks again.

    HI

if you have not tried, follow thisUninstall the sound driver from system, reboot your system, ifToshiba not released driver for 7, try installing Vista or xp driver incompatibility mode.check the issue. right click on .exe file, properties, hit compatibility tab, run it from XP or vista dependingon the driver you have.

i have searched for it, after restarting press F2 to open Biossettings, search every options and instructions to see the audio

Go to the Toshiba Support website @ http://support.toshiba-tie.co.jp/windows7/download/Satellite_P100_32_cae.htmand readthe information about installing Windows 7 on your laptop. Themanufacturer is always the best source for the necessary softwareand drivers for your computer.

In the case of your sound, the advice from Toshiba is to use theVista drivers which you can download from the Toshiba Supportwebsite.
