Job Description Service Qualifications
I. Period (Dec 1972- June 1973)
Joined the Department Of Agriculture Census Govt Of Pakistan, as Statistical
Investigator at Gurumangat Road Gulberg III Lahore, where got training for ten days
and afterward conducted Rural Credit Survey need assessment for Distt, Poonch ,
District Kotli (Azad Jammu Kashmir), Distt Quetta (Baluchistan) District Mansehra
(NWFP) Dist. Bahawalpur (Punjab).
The report was submitted accordingly to Head Quarter at Lahore. It is the
foundation on which the Agriculture and Nationalized Banks provided the credit to
the farmers and in this way a boost to the agriculture production takes place
throughout country. So we are the pioneer to Agriculture Credit and Loaning in
Pakistan
II . Period ( June 1973- June 1982)
Joined Department of Agriculture Extension Government of NWFP as Agriculture
Officer in 1973. Remained Agriculture Extension Officer Extension Education and
Communication, and worked on different jobs beside Agriculture Officer.

During the period mentioned above the following work has been conducted.
1. Production of different kinds of fruit plants at Farms, through grafting budding
and layering by obtaining improved varieties of fruit plants and then its promotion in
farmer’s field in form of regular fruit orchards.
2. Laying out of fruit orchards of different kinds of fruits with different methods in
farmer’s fields and also laying out of demonstration fruit orchards (Model Fruit
Orchards) and then its management and introduction of Modern Technology.
3. Agriculture Extension Education to farmers through meetings, dialogues,
discussion, tour and visit, contacts, trainings, seminars, workshops, distribution of
published materials, and radio programs.
4. Holding of Field Days at good Crop Demonstration sites and fruit orchard sites
and showing the results to the farmers at harvest time by inviting farmers for seeking
guide lines by seeing improved technology, and the difference between indigenous
and modern technology. The true since was seeing is believing.
5. Holding Fruit Shows at Different Sites at Sub Divisional Level, District Level
Divisional Level, Provincial Level and at National Levels, participated and made
necessary arrangement to this effect and got prizes and trophies (from 1973-1981).
6. Affiliated with the storage of pesticides their grouping, their use in the field
their safe handling, their safe transportation, recommendation for different insect’s
pests and diseases and remained Pesticides store In-charge Abbottabad. (1974-1982)
7. As In-charge Codling Moth Scheme in 1981, worked in the field and remained in
Apple Growing Area With Head Quarter at Berote wef, March to August, and a spray

program along with mechanical means conducted and four sprays made and the
codling moth was controlled effectively, which was Checked By Late Governor
Fazale Haq on his visit to Berote and found work satisfactory and appreciated the
efforts of Agriculture Department of NWFP and informed that in-spite of meager
sources as compared with Punjab Govt they have made good progress.
8. As Agriculture Officer Oil Seed Program remained busy in promotion of Non
Traditional Oil Seed Crops such as Rapeseed, Soybean, Sunflower and Safflower and
provided promising results and reports to the higher authorities.
9. In-order to get high yield of crops the use of fertilizer was demonstrated to the
farmers through Variety Cum Fertilizers Trial at different locations and then the
results shown to farming communities who accepted it and in this way the use of
different kinds of fertilizers enhanced, specially the use of Phosphate and potassic
Fertilizers.
10. Improved varieties of Wheat, Maize, Pulses, Vegetables were introduced,
promoted among the farmers through different schemes as Grow More Wheat,
Produce More Maize, Promotion of Pulses, Vegetables growing etc.
11. As Agriculture Officer Economic and Marketing provided weekly market
report on specified Performa in respect of all the main markets of Hazara Division to
the Director Agriculture Peshawar, Agriculture Prices Commission Statistics Wing
Karachi regarding Fruits, Vegetables, and Crops etc.(1974-1981)
II. Period ( July 1982- June 1991)
In 1982, I was selected for Narcotics Programme by the Additional Chief Secretary
NWFP after going through an interview and test taken at American Embassy
Islamabad. On the direction of the Govt of NWFP and received an order to report for
duty at Batkhela Malakand Agency.

As Officer In-Charge Agriculture Outreach Program ( Replacement of poppy crop),
where I submitted arrival and remained as Project In-charge and remained on the
payroll of American Embassy Islamabad from 1982 to 1991, when the project
completed its duration, and was repatriated back to the My Parent Agriculture
Extension Department, by the higher authorities.
The Agriculture out Reach Program of Narcotics Affairs Unit American Embassy Islamabad wef 1982 -1991 .Worked in the following Areas called as project Areas.
1. District Buner Poppy Growing Area( Settled)
2. Malakand Agency Poppy Growing Area (Provincially Administrative Tribal
Area)
3. Dir District Poppy Growing Area (Settled) Now Upper and Lower Dir
4. Bajaur Agency Poppy Growing Area (Federated Administrative Tribal
Area)
5. Mohammand Agency Poppy Growing Area ( Federated Administrative

Before going in detail about the contribution made and work done. It is appropriate
to high light what are the aims of the Agriculture Outreach project. The major aim of
the project is to assist the Govt to eliminate poppy cultivation, by improving the socio
economic conditions of the poppy growers.
The project especially designed to ensure that any hardship caused to the poppy
growers, by enforcement of the 1979 Had Ordinance to ban opium cultivation .The
cultivation was minimized, by providing the means to increase alternative agriculture
output and generally improve community welfare.
The project objective is to change the economy from one based primarily on opium
cultivation to the Diversified Agriculture System similar to those in developed areas
of Pakistan.

At the end of the project Completion opium production is to eliminate and an
area economy will have been established that provides a standard of living at least
comparable to the present level.
The project initiated the work and the following activities were carried out in
the field under the supervision of the Officer In-charge Agri Outreach, regarding
poppy substitution project and by the grace of God and by doing all other
development work, the Agri Out Reach crop development work produced promising
results and in the Year 1989 the poppy cultivation declined and comes up to zero level
in Malakand Agency as Reported By The Political Agent Malakand Agency in A
briefing to the Govt and also to three Editors of different newspapers on their visit to
the area to confirm about the results of the Poppy substitution project.
Similarly the cultivation of poppy also declined in all the other project areas
and as reported for 1990 reduced to 5% in Adenzai. Bajaur 20%, Mohamand 20%,
Khyber 30%, and Kala Dhaka 12% of the area of 1978-1979. The results achieved
were the coordinated efforts of the Agri out Reach project and all other Nation
Building Departments and sponsored by Narcotics Affairs Unit American Embassy
Islamabad. Activities carried out and work done are briefed as under.
1. Drawing and Disbursing Officer of the project related activities
Acted as Drawing and disbursing officer for all the financial transaction, purchase of
inputs for all the Project Areas regarding Agriculture out Reach Activities wef. July
1982 to June 1991.
2. Survey of poppy Areas
Survey conducted year wise in the fields, in the project areas showing poppy
cultivation from 1982 to 1991 by getting the information through different sources
mainly through Agri extension field staff working in union council of the project
areas. The report submitted to American Embassy Islamabad, timely.
Similarly a yield estimation research also conducted and report submitted to US
Embassy concerning to the above periods annually through complete format and field
study (wef 1982 -1991)
3. Supervision and Management

All the activities carried out in different locations were supervised and managed
regularly by holding meetings, tours, visits, practical demonstration, lectures on
different subjects, farmer, s contact, farmer’s organizations, participatory rapid
appraisal with the coordination of Line Department specially agriculture department
throughout project areas.
4. Agriculture Crop Production
The aims during 1982-1991 have been to substantially increase the production of the
staple food crops of Wheat, Maize and Rice through introduction of improved
varieties and use of fertilizers and pesticides. A noticeable improvement in the
production of the above crops achieved. Beside this the varieties of crop replaced by
improved and now the area under improved varieties is 85 to 90% .The results were
the random survey conducted by the Agriculture staff and statistics staff .
5. Precision Land Leveling
The Precision Land Leveling conducted in the Project Areas at 50% subsidized cost
through tractors and Bulldozers and promising results achieved, through modern
practices of cultivation.
6. Water Saving through Water Management
At the Tube well sites sunken by the Project, the alignment of the channels was made
and demonstrated to farmers and in this way the loss of water was minimized through
out project areas.
7. Introduction of Cash Crops
Cash crops tested introduced and promoted throughout project area including oil seed
crops, vegetables, fruit orchards, and sugar cane. Essential oil seed crops sesame,
soybean, canola, sunflower, safflower and groundnut are so much successful and
presently adapted and being cropped in the project areas. The vegetables onion,
tomato and potato remained a success for the farming communities being adapted, as

valuable economic crops. Fruit orchards Litchi, Citrus, Guava, Apple, Peach,
Persimmon, Plum, Apricot, Walnut, remained a success for farmers.
8. Crop Production Index and Project activities
The certified seed of improved varieties of Wheat, Maize, Rice and Sugar cane were
distributed among the farmers in the project areas, and the yield increase noticed in
Wheat, Maize, Sugar cane and Rice over base line as 75%, 85%, 60% and 20 %
respectively.
9. Agriculture Extension Activities
There is evidence, however the presence of some well-trained and potentially highly
motivated extension staff. Improving extension capacity should be a prominent and
early project element .As visible Agri outreach is critical in stimulating local interest
and participation in project activity .In real sense through this project provides the
facility to farmers were facilitated through mass media and training in different
disciplines.
10. Introduction of Foamy poultry Birds an improved breed
The sets of new poultry birds proved to the farmers in improving their egg production
and to replace the local breed with improved one. Great achievement felt. Now the
Breeds can be seen in the Project Areas very prominently.

Arranged field days on different crops, fruits and vegetables and the following

IV. (1992-2007)
Repatriated to Government of NWFP by US Embassy Islamabad Came back to
Abbottabad and posted at Divisional Head Quarter as Senior Staff Officer/Plant
protection Officer/Technical Officer/Project Coordinator MVSP and performed the
following Jobs.
1. Recommendation of the pesticides for the control of insect pests and diseases of
different crops, fruit and vegetables to the farmers of the area of work in coordination
with Agriculture Research.
2. Acting as Secretary to the Divisional Coordination Committee of Agri and Agri
allied departments. , Made arrangement, prepared the agenda, conducted the meeting,
prepared minutes of the meeting and then provided information’s about its follow-up
to higher ups timely.
3. Visit to different Districts and helped the staff in better transfer of technology to
the farmers through Agri Extension Education, Mass media and Audiovisual Aid,
published material.
4. Preparation of Annual development reports of Different Projects and their
Presentation to the Commissioner during monthly and quarterly meetings.
5. Acting as Secretary to the Prime Minister Agri and Irrigation committee
Abbottabad, prepared agenda, conducted the meeting, minutes of the committee
prepared and circulated among the members for further action at their end.

Extension Staff and farmers throughout all the project areas of Agri out Reach
Project. Crop Calendar for Buner District, Swat District, Abbottabad District ,
Battagram District , Mansehra District and Provincial Calendar , help with Director
Agriculture AJK in preparation of calendar for AJK.
2. Dwarf Apple Orchards
An article regarding the Cultivation of Apple has been prepared on Technical aspects
and then distributed among the field staff of Agri Extension Staff and Non-
Government Organizations.
3. Wheat Production
A paper showing the impact of Agriculture Out Reach Program of PNCB/NAU, for
wheat production, to increase the income of farmers of Adenzai Tehsil of Dir District
was prepared and the same was presented by Agriculture Advisor at A Workshop,
which took place at Changmai Thailand In 1989.
4. Poppy yield Estimation Results
Firstly detailed survey of poppy cultivation was conducted for the period 1982 to
1990 annually. Then the plots for yield estimation were selected through out the
poppy growing area and data was obtained for specific plots from specified areas. The
opium collected weighed and the result tabulated, morphine content analyzed and
yield estimated per acre. The report prepared and produced to NAU Islamabad. For
the period 1984 and 1989 the report was presented to the NAU/INM at Washington D
C personally and for other years through post.
5. Sanjoise Scale
An article Prepared and distributed among the Agri extension staff For Guide Lines
and its control.

6. Dwarf Apple Root Stock
A paper prepared on the experience of the field at farm and article prepared for the
production and propagation of dwarf Apple Rootstock.

Agri Extension.
8. Effect of Zinc Sulphate on the yield of Rice
Article prepared after effective demonstration results shown to staff , paper prepared

9. Canola Oil
Canola promotion in project areas, oil extracted and demonstration made for the use
for the first time in Malakand Agency In 1982 and In Bajaur Agency in 1983 in a
field day, by cooking pakora and paratha and serving to the guests. The promotion
gets prompt jump and now canola has got its own position in the areas.
10.Soybean Production
Soybean production technology in Project areas and its introduction in Punjab, paper
prepared and presented to N A U Islamabad. Similarly a paper, showing Historical
Development of soybean as spring crop in Pakistan also presented to N A U.
11.Economics of crops
Economics of crops versus poppy, trial conducted in the field on different crops, fruits
and vegetables and mushroom and cost benefit calculated and paper presented to
NAU.
12. Safe Use of Pesticides
Article prepared on the subject and circulated among the Agri extension staff, they
were informed to minimize the use of Agri Chemicals and adapt other methods such
as cultural, mechanical, biological etc.
13. Rehabilitation of Citrus’s fruit orchards
The citrus fruit orchards which were laid out earlier , have been effected badly, by
male nutrition, pests , and the production declined, trial conducted paper prepared and
circulated among Agri staff of the project areas.

Technology Transferred To the End Users As Learnt
1. Awareness about agricultural development
Awareness created among the farmers about new and improved technology, through
mass media, demonstration, field days, training, seminars, tours, visits, workshops,
shows and meals, farmers contact, individual and group contact. Through formation
of Community Organization for both sexes.
2. Introduction of Dwarf Apple Root Stocks of Apple
The root stocks imported from USA, MM26, MM9, MM110, MM27, MM7 and
MM106, were planted at Agri Out Reach Nursery Farm Malakand and multiplication
so made demonstrated to the farmers and staff and then its promotion made in project
areas as per result MM110 root stock seems to be most successful, vigorous with very
high resistance to drought, as compared to others in the Project Areas.
3. Introduction of Improved cultivars of Apple
More than 26 Varieties of Dwarf Apple Imported from U.S.A, planted with a
progressive farmer at Hangtag Swat and tested for all the traits, the most successful
were Rayon Red, Smoothy Gibson, Red Chief, and Granny Smith. Out of all these red
Chief Has Got More Importance, and most of the Fruit Orchards in the Project area
are belonging to this variety.
4. Precision Land Leveling planning
Precision land leveling consists of grading and smoothing the land to a smooth level
field with little or no slope. The practice shown to the farmers, which improved soil
and water use. The land so leveled, provided a uniform stand and growth, improved
crop yield and saving of irrigation water and labor.
Land Leveling Technology was demonstrated to the farmers in the Project Areas at
50% subsidy. Then the introduction of the crops produced promising results.
5. Production of Hybrid Sunflower Seed SW 394
The inbred lines receive from US and the crossing made in Agree Out Reach Farm
Malakand variety SW 394 produced and then it was sown t framers fields and give
better yield s compared with imported hybrid seed.

6. Introduction of Hybrid Sorghum in Project areas.
There is shortage of fodder for livestock throughout the Project areas, in-order to
improve the fodder supply “Hybrid Cargill Sadbahar” was introduced through
demonstration of half acre. The crop harvested, five cutting on average obtained, fed
to milk animals, the milk quantity raised. Then in-order to promote it quickly fodder
Cutter were provided to the farmers at 50% subsidy .The fodder took a lead and a
demand for seed come forward by the farming community, seed procured from the
company and provided to farmers on cost. Now the farmers are getting seed directly
from the companies and meeting their fodder needs.
7. Introduction of improved varieties of Wheat.
The improved varieties of wheat seed Pak 81, pirsabak 91, introduced in the Project
Areas and all the local seed replaced by the improved seed.
8. Introduction of Maize Improved Seed
Seed of Synthetic Maize Azam Produced at Farm and then introduced in The Project
areas, beside this Hybrid Maize also introduced in the areas. Variety provides better
yield as the complete package introduced effectively.
8. Potato Seed Production Technology and chain development
Seed received from Batakudi (Kaghan) planted at Kalam (Swat), regularly controlled
for pests and diseases, procured and the planted in the mid hill areas of the project.
The crop regularly monitored for pests and diseases and the crop harvested and placed
in cold storage at Mardan and Swat. And afterward the seed sown again in the plan
areas .So a package of technology demonstrated to the farmers a linkage established.
Seed tested at N.A R C. and Tarnab and provided excellent results.
9. Introduction of Tomato Vegetables as a replacement of Poppy Crop in
Project Areas
This vegetable took great importance in Adenzai Tehsil of Dir District, and more the
60% of the area irrigated is brought under it annually without effecting wheat crop.
Almost most of the supply is made from this are to the rest of the hamlets of the
province. The production was so heavy that DGSDU paid visit for it in 1989 and he
later on requested the MDFVDB to provide necessary guide lines to the farmers for its

processing at home level, And he appreciate the success of Agri Out Reach in this
matter.
10. Promotion of Canola oil Production in Project areas .
The improved varieties of canola were obtained from B A R D Islamabad and
introduced in the Project Areas, namely Westar, Tobin, Altex and Oro. The oil
extracted by local machines and demonstrated to farmers and its importance shown
.The farmer are now producing their own Canola Oil, which is free from all poisonous
material.
11. Grow your own Dalda through Sunflower
The Hybrid varieties of Sunflower N K 212, Cargill, were introduced the seed
produced were taken to local oil extraction mills the oil obtained and demonstrated to
the framers in field days .The scheme was introduced under the head “Grow Your
Own Dalda”.
12. Introduction of Soybean and its promotion in Punjab.
Early maturing varieties of Soybean produced after trial conducted at Agri Farm. Seed
procured and then the same was sown in Bahawalpur and Multan and the technology
demonstrated in the field through demonstration. The channel of seed purchase
established.
14. Introduction of Sesame a versatile crop
In the rain-fed areas throughout the project, the white seed procured from Sind
introduced which provided better results and the technology accepted by the framers.
17. Introduction of Ground nut
Groundnut varieties of BARD procured introduced , demonstrated , the results
provided better yield and income . Farmer have procured their own seed and now
they are on the promotion level and producing groundnut for their own demand.

18. Kitchen Gardening and home gardening a new technology introduced by
Agriculture Outreach Programme
Introduced for better utilization of the land surrounding their hoses and available in
their houses for summer and winter vegetables, they accepted the idea and are doing
the practice and are having fresh vegetables for their consumption.”
19. Produce your own Onion Seed.
The imported seed bolted in the field, so in-order to provide better seed to the framers
local good variety of onion bulbs procured sown in different locations seed produced
was local distributed among the farmers and they are now producing their own seed
which is cheaper the imported seed.
20. Social Forestry for the betterment of community.
Forest Plants such as Eucalyptus, Poplar and Pine Also provided to the Farmers by
Agree Out Reach Program.
19. Honeybees are source of Honey promoted in areas.
we have got flora in the project areas , the farmers trained provided boxes and all
other relevant literature for establishing it. Technology accepted and practiced by
them in their areas.
20. Weed Control in Onion and Garlic demonstrated
Weeds are biggest problem for these two vegetables a Weedicide Tribunal introduced
in the Project areas which provided good results and the its use increased and the
farmers used it effectively.
21. Soil test and Fertilizers Recommendation A basic requirement
The soil of the Project areas, tested for available soil nutrients, and then
recommendation for fertilizer use were made.

22. Lay out and Management of Fruit Orchards
The fruit orchard of deciduous and evergreen was introduced in the project areas by
providing complete package of technology and management techniques.
23. Introduction of Drip irrigation
In-order to get the maximum benefit from the available water most economically the
drip irrigation system introduced in the area for apple fruit orchard technology
accepted and being in practice by the farmers.
24. Agro forestry on farm land
In some sites, which are in the vicinity of Range Management and near to the
cultivated land .The fruit plants of Almond, Apricot, Plum, Peaches were introduced.
Test remains effective and accepted by the farmers.
25. Community Participation (Participatory Approach to Development)
The community participation concept was introduced in the Project Areas, the theme
of self-help provided great courage to the farming community. And now they are able
to run the activities on self help basis by solving the problems confronted by them at
local level. And also to prioritize them.
26. Trainings to farmers on Marketing of Fruit and Vegetables
The farmers were shown the production technique, packing, crating and Marketing of
Fruits and Vegetables by providing tour to the big and small markets and by providing
necessary information to the producers.
27. Organic Farming the future agriculture
Organic farming techniques introduced viz. use of farmyard Manure, Green
Manuring, Compost Making. The technology accepted and adapted.
28. Demonstration and training for Compost Making
The compost produce at farmer’s field demonstrated by utilizing farm waste,
household waste, leaves and twigs, fruit waste. Composting of the organic materials
has been done by open air and trench decomposition. Using dung as inoculums was

the best. Nine-month-old compost used for crop manuring in combination with
mineral fertilizer showed very good result on crop yield.
29. Introduction of Integrated Pest Management
IPM involves the combination of different methods for control of Insects, pests and
Diseases. In-order to minimizes the effect of Hazardous Chemicals being used
presently, which led to the complicated and interwoven , environmental problems,
long persistence, toxic residues, pest resistance, pest resurgence. Hence it was realized
that that the use of chemicals eliminated and other options of control namely.
• Cultural
• Physical
• Mechanical
• Biological
• Genetical introduced in the field. So, in order to keep the environment
from pollution, IPM measures demonstrated and the farmers have
adapted the same. Especially Phenomena Traps for Fruit Fly Control
and Mechanical Measures for Control of Codling Moth, and Biological
Measures for control of Sanjoise Scale.
• Plant Origin Pesticides can produce effective results such as Nicotine
Dust, Neem, Garlic, onion, Turmeric, Neer, Mary Gold and
Demonstrated to the Farmers and the trainees.
30. Use of Plant Growth Regulators for better Quality of Fruits
To get better and quality fruit growth plant growth regulator introduced such as
Gibralic Acid, PPP Hormone, Planofax, Sandaflor, and Greenzit which provided
promising result the technology is being accepted presently.
31. Introduction of improved grasses
Improved grass seed obtained from Agri University Peshawar through the Custody Of
Dr Nazi Hanif, the grass provided effective results farmer are now sowing this grass
in their grazing land.

32. Soyabeer Food, Feed, Fodder and Fire
Soybeer introduced in the Project Areas, and also the local Beer top-worked, now
there are few orchards in the area which are providing Food, Feed and fodder.
33. Introduction of Olive Cultivars.
There are lot of plants of wild olive, its top working made and improved varieties
were introduced through budding and grafting and the technology appreciated by the
farmers and they have learnt the techniques.
34. Introduction of Straw Berry in Project Areas.
Strawberry was firstly introduced in the Project areas. It marketing shown to the
farmers and its products such as Squash demonstrated the communities.
35. Introduction of Ginger Vegetables.
Ginger seed procured from ARS Dhodhial sown in the project and farmers were
directed to adapt the ginger growing at small scale to combat their problems.
36. Introduction of modern agricultural Machinery and equipments
The Improved implements driven by tractors introduced in the project areas, the deep
tillage implements introduced were, Mould Board Plough, Chisel Plough, and Ridger
for water conservation, to ensure maximum use of natural precipitation for crop
production was successfully demonstrated /introduced.
, Reaper, Ditcher, Wheat Thresher, Maize Sheller, Soybean Thresher, Sunflower
Thresher, Disc Plough, NARDI Planter were also introduced.
37. Safe and Effective Use of Pesticides the cry of the day
Pesticides which are used against insects/pests are highly toxic and have poisonous
effects via contact, inhaling etc, on human and animal health as well as to the
environment, for this purpose farmers and extension workers were provided
guidelines.
38. Salient Feature of Agriculture Pesticides Ordinance 1971.
Agriculture field staff and other trainee on different occasions provided necessary
information about the Act .The Pesticides Dealers were Specially Informed to Follow

the Act Accordingly. The staff was also trainee for checking of pesticides stores and
getting the samples for analysis.
39. Integrated Diseases Management
IDM in-order to minimize the use of poisonous Fungicides, different methods of
Diseases control such as, mechanical, cultural, mechanical, biological, resistant
varieties an chemical were demonstrated to the staff and farmers.
40. Awareness about Sustainable Agriculture
Idea introduced among farming community and informed “ Sustainable Agriculture
involves the successful management of Resources of agriculture to satisfy changing
human needs while monitoring or enhancing the quality of the environment and
concerning natural resources”.
41. Demonstration Methods of Fertilizer Application
In Maize crop the strip method was the best for fertilizer application followed by
banding and broadcasting.
42. Farmer own Farmer Seed center
Seed center concept, where farmers maintain and keep their own seed of improved
varieties for use in the area was developed and put to practice at Zoormandi Malakand
Agency, Badwan Adenzai Tehsil (Dir Distt).
43. Introduction of Lemon Grass Introduction
The lemon grass plants were obtained from NARC, planted in different areas its
leaves harvested and tea made from it was demonstrated technology accepted.
44. Homemade pesticide Bordeu Mixture Introduction
A pesticide made from indigenous and local material was prepared and promoted in
the field through extension workers. The product controlled the diseases better than
the expensive fungicides.
