Task Lists Current

The use of the JLab task lists is standard practice at Jefferson Lab. The Hazard Identification Worksheets identify hazard issues and link to ES&H Manual Chapters. The problem that has been recognized is that these links can get out-of-date.

To rectify this a program has been developed that provides the most up-to-date information; and along with that, makes retrieval faster, easier, and more effective.

Welcome Martha

Welcome Martha. Martha is the program that has been developed she breakdowns ES&H Manual information into manageable bits. The focus being on the needs of the individual and quick retrieval of information. 3Task List Upgrade

So, what does this mean to you? On February 4 you will see updates to the task lists hazard identification worksheets. These include new and more focused questions; and links to current manual chapters and to Martha.

So how does it work? lets take Portable Hand Tools as example. In this case we have clicked Yes, because an electrical power tool will be used.

Are there any requirements? Lets see.

Click on Portable hand tools. You go directly to Martha, where you Click on Electric Power Tools. Martha then takes you directly to the chapter and verse for electric power tools. Where you would see that use of a ground-fault circuit-interrupter is required.

You then go back to your Hazard Identification Worksheet, note this down as mitigation for your hazard, and continue on your way.

Fast, easy, and effective.
