He and his family had recently moved there after they lost everything in a fire in their Northland area apartment building. Since that day in 2014, the Northland Chapter of the Bed Brigade has delivered nearly 150 beds to families in need. The holiday season is always busy with bed requests and on Sunday, December 4 we completed our largest, one day delivery of 21 beds to seven different families. We had a wonderful crew to help with deliveries and set-up. The Bed Brigade ministry is ongoing and we receive calls regularly from folks who need beds. Some of your tithe goes towards the Bed Brigade ministry through the connections budget, but much of the cost for bedding and some materials must be covered by additional donations. If you would like to donate financially you can do so by giving a gift of cash through the church or give Home Depot or Wal-Mart gift cards to Aimee. If you would like to donate your time to help with deliveries and set-up, please contact Aimee at [email protected] . You don’t have to have a truck to join the delivery team and we’ll never send you to a home alone. We are planning a delivery day soon and we’d love for you to expe- rience the blessing of serving the Lord through serving those in need. Just over two years ago Sean and Aimee Worley

arrived at an apartment on the east side of

Edward. He and his family had recently moved

there after they lost everything in a fire in their

  • An Update on Our

Christmas Basket Ministry This is a long overdue THANK YOU message to all of you who

helped with the Christmas Care Basket Ministry last month. As

you may recall, the weather was pretty lousy that weekend with

freezing rain both mornings. Your turnout to help with the as-

sembly on Saturday was tremendous and our work together

seemed to go about as well as it ever has in the many years

    we've been putting them together.

On Sunday, the icy weather caused many in our church family to

stay home which left us with a few dozen baskets in the lobby

that needed back-up plans to get delivered. God provided yet

again! Several folks stepped up to offer

    their time. One spontaneous volunteer

was Bo Moore. He sent me this email

message that I wanted to share with

    you.

"I had the privilege of carrying the well

wishes of KRBC and a gift basket to the

Overholts yesterday. Janet & I spoke to

George for quite some time sharing ex-

periences at KRBC with him. George is

someone I had seen and knew by name

but had never really connected with at

KRBC. The experience was so positive I

almost felt that I had stolen a blessing

from those that worked so hard in this

    ministry. George was extremely thank-

ful for the thoughts, the gift and for

those that made it possible. I am thank-

ful that you allowed me to carry it to

    him."

Keegan and Megan Murray both contributed drawings that we

included with Christmas cards in the baskets. Their mother,

Wendy, shared that one lady came up to them at church in the

weeks that followed and acknowledged how much she appreci-

ated their beautiful artwork and the blessing the images

brought to her. How sweet is that!

I delivered a basket to one lady. Her son, who doesn't attend

church, happened to be at her house when I arrived. Then, on

Christmas Eve, there he was at church with his mom! God gave

me a second opportunity within six days to reach out to some-

one who I may never have met without that icy Sunday morning

weather. Thank you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for your bless-

ings of grace and mercy and love to our humble offerings in

this ministry! And thanks to each of you for your hands and

feet to help make it happen!

by Bob Mulvaine Basket Thank You Notes

Thank you for the Christmas Basket. I’ve enjoyed all

the “goodies” that were in it. Thanks to all involved in

preparing it and to Laurie Huston for bringing it to

    me. Louise Carnes

Thank you for the beautiful and tasty fruit basket.

Each year the basket seems lovelier. The scripture

and reading material so inspiring. God bless all who

helped assemble it. Rita & Tom Lewis

Thanks for your annual Christmas basket.

    Evamae Polock

Thank you all for the Christmas

Care basket. Cheryl and I ap-

    preciate being part of the

KRBC family and also this spe-

cific gift. We are currently en-

    joying the components.

    Al & Cheryl Cooper

    Thank you for the lovely

    Christmas Basket we received

    from you. We have certainly

enjoyed it and want the church

    members to know how much

    we apprecate them.

    Bob & Barb England

I wish to thank Ron William

    and Beth Ash—for delivery of

    the nice Christmas Basket and

    the poinsettia. Keep me in

    your prayers. Len Artis

We enjoyed the Christmas basket filled with many

good things, and we enjoyed the Murray girls’ art

work on the cards they designed. Thank for remem-

bering us. Good wishes for all you friends to have a

    blessings filled year in 2017.

    Grace & Jim Hurley

Thanks to all who helped with the baskets, including

those who delivered them on a very cold day. As I

enjoy the items, I am grateful to my church family.

    Corene Grube

I do appreciate the Christmas Basket of Goodies, all

the time and number of people you assemble to work

on the remembrance. You are always in my heart and

    prayers. Peggy Brader
