This is your guide to updating the firmware on your Mu-so or Mu-so Qb wireless music system using the Naim App. The app, which can be downloaded onto any iOS or Android device, will guide you through the process and display feedback on progress alongside light sequences on the product UI (user interface). Once the update is complete your Mu-so system will reboot to the input last selected and resume normal operation. N.B. DO NOT SWITCH OFF MU-SO PRODUCT AT ANY POINT DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS. This is your guide to updating the firmware on your Mu-so or Mu-so Qb wireless music system using the Naim App. The app, which can be downloaded onto any iOS or Android device, will guide you through the process and display feedback on progress alongside light sequences on the product UI (user interface). Mu-so® Wireless Music System Update Guide
To start the Mu-so update process you will need the following:• Mu-so connected to the network (wired or wireless)• Latest Naim App installed on an iOS or Android device
Set-Up Required
Launch the Naim App and go to theRooms menu.
If an update is available the text nextto the Room Name of the Mu-so system will say UPDATE AVAILABLE.
Select UPDATE AVAILABLE to startthe update process.
Details of the new firmware availablewill be shown including changes andfixes. Select APPLY UPDATE to startthe update.
N.B. If you wish not to update then click on the arrow in top left hand corner to return to the Rooms menu.

The Naim App shows a FirmwareUpdate Warning screen.
This screen gives information abouthow long the process will take andwhat to do with the iOS or Androiddevice during the update process.
Select NEXT to continue with theupdate or BACK to cancel.
The Naim App will now go to afirmware update status screen.
The status bar shows the statusDownloading firmware file.

The status bar will then changeto Putting Mu-so into fi rmwareupdate mode.
The Mu-so UI (User Interface) willshow the volume LED segmentsspinning round.
The Network LED light on theright hand side of the productwill turn Blue.

The status bar will change toWaiting for Mu-so to enterfirmware update mode.
The UI will quickly switch off thenwill slowly light up each volumesegment one by one in a clockwisedirection starting from the bottomof the UI.
The Status on the Naim App willnot change.
Once all the volume segments arelit, the segments will slowly startswitching off anti-clockwise.
The status bar will then showFirmware 0% applied.
The percentage will increase whilstthe segments continue to switch off.

Once all segments have switchedoff Mu-so will reset automatically.
N.B. All your settings will remainafter the reset has fi nished.
The volume segments will bespinning around clock wisecontinuously with the standbyicon fl ashing.
The Network LED will startfl ashing amber.
Once the reset has been completedMu-so will reboot itself. The NaimApp will go to a screen saying Mu-sois now updated and ready to use.
Press DONE and the Naim App willreturn to the Room Menu. Mu-so willboot up to the last input selectedbefore the update started.

Select your Mu-so in the Roomsmenu of the Naim App to resumecontrol.
You can check the firmware versionin the Setup screen. Go to About andthe Streamer version will be listed.
