First Western Title Acquisitions LLC moved its corporate headquarters to 5005 Colleyville Boulevard, Suite 160, in a location where First Western Title has operated a branch office since 2009.

First Western Title Acquisitions LLC is the legal corporate name that pur-chased First Western Title assets from the DuBose family in June of 2014. First Western Title Acquisitions LC provides the same title insurance services as First Western Title Company did previously in Fort Worth.

Six employees joined six existing staff professionals in the Colleyville headquarters. First Western is plan-ning to add two additional employees, bringing the entire office to a total of 14 people.

First Western Title underwrites title policies on Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, Westcor Land Title Insurance Company, First American Title Insurance Company, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Chicago Title Insurance Company, and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.

Trusted for residential and commercial title services throughout the country, First Western Title is employ-ee-owned, so staff has a vested interest in delivering quality service. First Western Title is a member of the Texas Land and Title Association, American Land and Title Association, Greater Fort Worth Builders As-sociation, Collin County Association of Realtors, Williamson County Board of Realtors, Fort Worth Mortgage Bankers Association, and Dallas Mortgage Bankers Association. The company maintains offices in Fort Worth, Burleson, Arlington and Dallas.

Take 5 Birkenstock will be utilizing 1,600 sq feet of space in Town Center Col-leyville suite 260 and is slated to open the end of March. The Colleyville location will be operated by Rick LeRoy, managing partner, and three or four employees. The store will be open Monday-Friday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Take 5 Birkenstock has been in business for 10 years. The business focuses on helping people with foot problems and the company motto is “Feet hurt...We can help.” Not all Take 5 Birkenstock customers have foot problems, but they all appreciate and want quality, comfortable footwear. The store will carry the largest selection of shoes and orthotics in the metroplex designed to help your feet to feel bet-ter. Brands available in store will include Birken-stock, New Balance, Chaco, Dansko, NAOT, Finn Comfort, Think, OluKai, Vionic and Taos.

Verizon Wireless to occupy former Pacific House spaceContractors have begun interior demolition at 4714 Col-leyville Boulevard, and will soon begin on the tenant im-provements sought by Verizon Wireless. The company will occupy the 4,147-square-foot building that previously housed Pacific House Restaurant (originally built as a Dick-ey’s Barbecue). Perren Gasc represented property owners Centennial Real Estate in negotiating the lease with Verizon Wireless.

TxDOT SH26/Colleyville Boulevard Reconstruction

Construction is underway at Colleyville Stampede, a new 12,847-square-foot development being built across Colleyville Boulevard from Colleyville Downs. Tenants will include: Jersey Mike’s Subs, Colleyville Smiles, and Teddy’s Bigger Burgers.

Standridge Companies is developing the site. Tey Tiner with United Commercial Realty represented Standridge in lease negotiations.

Construction continues in Colleyville Downs. Cennte-nial Real Estate is developing a 7,965-square-foot building fronting Colleyville Boulevard. Zoe’s Kitchen has leased 2,667 square feet and will open when the building opens later this year.

Perren Gasc represented Centennial Real Estate in the Zoe’s Kitchen lease negotiations.

Dan Lee Smallwood, CPA is relocating corporate offices currently located in Hurst to a new build-ing under construction at 5320 Pleasant Run Road.

December Sales Tax Revenues up 7.472% over 2013From the sales tax revenues reported this month, General Fund sales tax is up 7.472% ($17,593) from revenues reported for the same time period last year. Per GASB accounting rules, the December 2014 sales tax allocation is the first month of sales tax revenue recorded in Fiscal Year 2015. October 2014 and November 2014 sales tax allocations are reported in the prior fiscal year, as the sales upon which the taxes were collected occurred in August 2014 and September 2014, respectively. This is the ninth consecutive month of increased sales tax revenues as compared to the prior year, and this is the highest December sales tax allocation ever received.
