The postdoctoral fellow has been awarded a fellowship at the University of Pretoria. The fellow complies with all academic and language requirements and has been invited to come to the University of Pretoria to do postdoctoral research in terms of an agreement between the University of Pretoria and the fellow.

This candidate will not be taking up a fellowship that could have been held by a South African citizen and there is no waiting list of South African citizens for this position.

The fellow will be provided with accommodation on campus for the duration of the research period. The research will be conducted over a period of no longer than one year, depending on the progress made with the research.

The University of Pretoria undertakes to inform the Department of Home Affairs if the fellow no longer complies with the provisions of the temporary permit or leaves this university before the permit has expired.
