Plug the Converter Box into a wall outlet and turn it on using the remote. Then follow instructions in the on-screen Setup Wizard.

6Program the remote that came with your Converter Box to control your TV’s Power, Input, and Volume.

The Converter Box probably found multicast channels: 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, etc., during the Setup Wizard. Multicasting is how broadcast stations offer several channels of digital programming at the same time. The primary old analog channel is generally found at the “dot one” channel, so analog channel 7 content would be found at 7.1 and any multicast channels would be found at 7.2, 7.3 and so forth. Check your local TV guide for specific programming details.

TV Power TV Input TV Volume Up TV Volume Down

To program the remote, you can use the program codes listed in the Install Guide that came with your Converter Box, or you can search for your TV’s program code using the remote. To search for program codes:

1. Turn on your TV2. Press and hold TV Power and at the same time, repeatedly press Up

until your TV turns off. Press the Up button slowly (about 1/2 second intervals) to allow time for the remote to send the code and for the TV to respond. Be sure to keep a direct line-of-sight between the remote an the converter box

3. After the TV turns off, press TV Power to turn it back on. Then check to see if TV Input , TV Volume Up , and TV Volume Down work.

• If the TV responds, no further programming is required. • If the TV does not respond, repeat from Step 1.

Note: If the TV does not turn off after pressing the Up button 105 times, try again by pressing the Down button. If it still doesn’t work, check the Install Guide to see if your TV is listed. If it is not, the remote cannot control your TV.

OK

Install batteries in the remote, matching the polarity symbols (+ / –) marked inside.
