It’s time for Medical School Reunion Weekend 2015! I hope you will join your classmates and fellow alumni of the University of Virginia School of Medicine to RECONNECT, RELAX and REMEMBER.

We have a great weekend planned for you in Charlottesville. I encourage you to come back and join us for all of the fun and celebrate the milestone of your reunion. There will be many opportunities to connect with classmates, from our Saturday night activities to private class events.

Along the way, you’ll hear updates from leadership about what’s happening at the UVA School of Medicine and Health System. I also encourage you to attend the UVA Medical Alumni Association’s Business Meeting, open to all alumni, and the Continuing Medical Education session, featuring presentations by Jaideep Kapur, MD, PhD, and Bryan Ralston, MD ‘90.

MedConnect: Women in Medicine

This luncheon program will feature a panel of alumnae addressing current medical students with the goal of providing students with helpful information as they shape their personal and professional goals, with specific emphasis on topics related to female physicians. Alumni are invited to attend and network with students and share their thoughts on topics such as residency training, medical specialties, balancing personal and professional priorities, and more.

Tour of Carr’s Hill and Gardens

Join us for an exclusive guided tour of the house and gardens at Carr’s Hill, the home of all eight U.Va. presidents. Taking place during Garden Week, this is a unique opportunity to view Carr’s Hill through the eyes of its staff.

University Traditions Tour

4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Departs from the Harrison Small Special Collections Library

Enjoy a private University Traditions tour which focuses on historical tours of the Academical Village and emphasizes the traditions that have shaped and developed the University of Virginia into what it is today. The tour will also include some information on the beginnings of the University of Virginia School of Medicine.

9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The tour bus will depart Boar’s Head’s Main Inn entrance at 9:00 a.m. and will return by 3:00 p.m. The bus will pick up other room block hotel guests who have registered for the tour.

Join Cavalier Travels for a private “Behind the Scenes” Dome Room Tour of Monticello and have lunch on the lawn with lovely views of Charlottesville as the backdrop. Lunch will be included on the tour.
