Core CurriculumCore courses make up approximately 70% of a
PMBA student’s curriculum. The core curriculum
lays the MBA foundation and provides a
comprehensive background in diverse business
disciplines. During the first year, core courses
are taken with a cohort of 40-60 students. This
enables you to network and learn from students
with different educational, professional, and
personal backgrounds.
International TripAn international trip elective is offered at
an additional fee and provides students
with the opportunity to experience how
business is conducted abroad. After five
weeks of in-class learning, students
embark on a one-week trip where they
will meet with business leaders, make
company visits, and tour cultural sites.
ELECTIVESElective courses make up about 30% of a PMBA
student’s course of study. Electives expand upon
the foundational business principles covered in
the core coursework. With an array of electives
available, you can design your own course of study,
whether that means focusing your coursework in
a specific discipline or taking courses in a variety
of subjects. All elective courses are offered in the
evenings and fit with a traditional work schedule.
OUTSIDE LEARNINGIn addition to academic courses, there is an
on-campus organization that fits your business
interests. PMBA students have the option of
participating in richly rewarding, experiential
learning opportunities. Organizations like the
Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, the Foundry,
the University Venture Fund and more provide
a robust learning community with opportunities
for growth outside of the classroom.

IGNITE YOUR CAREER
Since starting the PMBA Program, I have been
able to prove to my employer that I am capable of
accomplishing anything I am assigned to do. As a
result, I have been given three promotions in the
last three years. I can directly attribute this to the
skills and conf idence I gained in the program.
Whether your goal is to progress within your current
organization, change your career, or pursue an
entrepreneurial route, the PMBA program will provide
you with the tools and connections to help you prepare
for your next stage of success.
Career advancement doesn’t happen because you show
up at work and do a good job. It requires planning and
action. It’s a lifelong activity that requires forethought to
be successful. PMBA students become proactive masters
of their careers. Our goal is for all PMBA students to
graduate with the expertise and a plan to manage and
advance their careers.
Picture yourself brokering a high-profile deal. Managing
financial assets. Marketing a global brand. Or building
your own company. The PMBA program will give you the
skills and confidence to turn your career aspirations into
career realities.
