I. SPMS Appraisal: Appraisee

A. IPCR/OPCR with Set Targets

1. Appraisee initiates the appraisal by entering their accomplishments.

a. (N): UP Employee Self Service > SPMS > Performance Management > Manage appraisal: Individual Manage appraisal: Supervisor

b. Click Update.

c. Appraisee will be directed to the Update Standard Appraisal: Overview page:

o [1] To view the Quality Efficiency Timeliness (QET) Guide, click View this link for QET Guide. o [2] To add objectives or additional objectives, click Add Objective. o [3] To duplicate the objective, click the Duplicate button. o [4] To edit the objective details, click the Update Details button. o [5] To delete the objective, click the Delete button o [6] Input Actual Accomplishment in the Actual Accomplishment field for each objective. o [7] [8] [9] Input Quality, Efficiency, Timeliness value (whichever is applicable) for each objective. o [10] If all necessary changes have been made, click Continue.

d. If all objectives have been finalized, click Share with Main Appraiser.

e. Appraisee may then input optional Notification Message for Main Appraiser before clicking Submit.

f. Appraisee will receive the confirmation message: “Ownership of your appraisal has transferred to your main appraiser. You cannot update the appraisal again until the main appraiser returns ownership of the appraisal to you and requests your input.”

g. The appraisal is now with the Main Appraiser.

2. Appraisee approves the ratings from the Main Appraiser.

a. The Main Appraiser will receive the Worklist Notification: “Appraisal for <Appraisee

Name> has been approved and is pending appraise feedback.”

b. The Appraisee will receive the Worklist Notification: “Appraisal for <Appraisee> (proposed by <Main Appraiser>).” Click the notification.

c. Appraisee will be directed to the page similar to the illustration below.

o [1] To view the details of the targets/objectives, click View Action. o [2] To return the appraisal to the Main Appraiser for corrections, click Return for Correction. o [3] To approve the Final Ratings given by the Main Appraiser, click Approve. o [4] To reject the Final Ratings given by the Main Appraiser, click Reject. The appraisal process will

go back to the beginning. o [5] To reassign, click Reassign. o [6] To request information, click Request Information.

3. Appraisee provides Feedback.

a. When the Appraisee chooses Approve, he/she will be directed to the Home page. There

will be a worklist notification: “Your appraisal has been completed. Please review and provide feedback.”

b. Click the worklist notification. c. Click Update Action (lower part of the page under Related Applications).

d. Click Provide Overall Feedback.

e. Provide Feedback on Overall Rating and (optional) Notification Message for Main Appraiser. Click Submit.

B. IPCR/OPCR without Set Targets (For Those Without Appraisal Available)

For those without appraisal under Appraisals of <Appraisee Name>, an appraisal needs to be created.

1. (N): UP Employee Self Service > SPMS > Performance Management > Create Standard Appraisal (under

Quick Links)

2. Input the Performance Management Plan Period Start Date, Period End Date, and Template (Individual

or Supervisor), then click Next.

3. Click Add Objective to add targets/objectives to be appraised, then click Next.

4. Click Share with Main Appraiser.

5. Click Submit.

* Filling out the Notification Message for Main Appraiser field is optional.

6. The Appraisee will receive the confirmation message: “Ownership of your appraisal has transferred to

your main appraiser. You cannot update the appraisal again until the main appraiser returns ownership of

7. The appraisal of the Appraisee can be found on the Main Appraiser’s account. (N): UP Supervisor Self

Service > SPMS > Performance Management > Appraisals > Main Appraiser.

II. SPMS Appraisal: Main Appraiser

A. Main Appraiser rates the Appraisee.

1. The Main Appraiser will receive the Worklist Notification: “The appraisal of <Appraisee Name> needs your attention as main appraiser.”

2. Click the Worklist Notification as above or (N): UP Supervisor Self Service > SPMS > Performance Management > Manage appraisal: Individual Manage appraisal: Supervisor

3. Click the Appraise button.

4. Main Appraiser will be directed to the page illustrated below:

o [2] To make changes in the appraisal, click Update Appraisal.

the Appraisee by clicking Give Final Ratings (Main Appraiser gives Final Ratings.)

The Main Appraiser may enter Overall Comments about the Appraisee’s Objective Ratings. (optional).

The Overall Rating should be entered. Suggested Overall Rating is computed through the ratings given for each target/objective. Filling out the Overall Comments on the Overall Rating is optional. Click Continue.

The Main Appraiser will be directed to the page illustrated below:

Click Yes.

The Main Appraiser will receive the confirmation message: “You have submitted the appraisal for approval.”

B. Main Appraiser views Feedback.

1. The Main Appraiser receives the Worklist Notification: “Appraisee <Appraisee Name> has

provided feedback on Appraisal” .

2. Click the Worklist Notification.

3. Details of the Appraisee Feedback may be viewed.
