8. Student Union activities

•The Student Union organizes various trips, parties and happenings •Annual trips to Lapland, St. Petersburg, Stockholm and Koli national park•Sports facilities for free or for very low cost: football, volleyball, aerobic, sports afternoon twice a year•Cultural activities, baking and cooking evenings•You can even meet Santa!

“Student Union for internationals is very active at organizing various trips to other parts of Finland or even abroad, different parties, notifies about fun events etc. There is a very nice cafeteria in Science Park, where students like to gather for lunch and chat. City has reasonably good night life: different clubs, pubs etc. Internationals say that once you have been in Joensuu - you never forget that experience and always remember that time as it was something special... as actually it was... special :) “
