UNIVERSITY COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, Koti organised a village camp for NSS from January 8 th to 13 th . NSS has thought of adopting three villages – Tunikibollaram, Chinnathimmapur, zapthisingaiah pally. This village has been successfully completed with the help and cooperation of Village Sarpanch and other heads. Unit III has adopted Chinathimmapur and has done a very good job in serving people. The main objective of Village camp is to serve people, make them aware about the social issues and to guide them in their needs. Unit III has done Swatchatha seva, village survey, cleaning of streets, creating awareness about water conservation and plastic uses, and culturals as a part of village camp.

UNIVERSITY COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, Koti

organised a village camp for NSS from January 8th

to 13th. NSS has thought of adopting three villages

– Tunikibollaram, Chinnathimmapur,

zapthisingaiah pally. This village has been

successfully completed with the help and

cooperation of Village Sarpanch and other heads.

Unit III has adopted Chinathimmapur and has

done a very good job in serving people. The main

objective of Village camp is to serve people, make

them aware about the social issues and to guide

them in their needs. Unit III has done Swatchatha

seva, village survey, cleaning of streets, creating

awareness about water conservation and plastic

uses, and culturals as a part of village camp.

The forenoon session of the day – 1 started by the

inauguration by the PO's and the senior head

volunteers along with the village heads- MPTC ,

Sarpanch and others held at the Grama panchayath

office. The MPTC Devender Reddy , Sarpanch

Hamsa Mahesh Yadav , Upasarpanch Srinivas and

ward members of the village welcomed Unit III.

The inaugural ceremony has started with

speech given by village sarpanch and the

village has started with great enthusiasm.

After the inauguration we have gathered in

Tunikibollaram where they have provided us

Gram Panchayath for the stay. The night has

been a competitive night as we were divided

into group for Jam and skit competitions.

The second day of the village camp

has started at dawn with Yoga and Jog. We all

got refreshed and dispersed to our respective

Villages by 6 30 AM. The Village Sarpanch has

given us the task to conduct survey. We

started the village survey and completed more

than 160 houses.

We have ended the survey for that day at 11

Am.

Next, we visited village school Mandal

Parishath Pradhamika Patasala. The school

has students upto 5th standard. We have

invited Mr. Pakalpathy Suresh kumar as a

mentor and to entertain kids. The kids were so

pleased with our visit and enjoyed a lot. We

have conducted few competitions like JAM,

Dance. He explained kids about the

importance of having Rich Dreams along with

Rich Character. At last we distributed Gifts to

the students. Our visit to the school has

become a memorable day.

Children were Happy to get Bed sheets and

gifts.

After that at 1 AM we went to Tunikibollaram.

We had our lunch over there and visited School

in that village. The school over there consists

of Higher school students too. Suresh has

taken up the session of career guidance and

entertained students over there too.

Even there we have conducted few

competitions. Here the high school students

have shown great enthusiasm. They spoke

beautiful words about their teachers, village

environment, their goals and acheivements.

The distribution of gifts were done by the

Sarpanch, Our mam and suresh.

Day three has started with our regular

warm up and as day 2 we dispersed at 6 30

AM. Even that day we started our work with

village survery and completed the whole

village survey. The village comprises 450

families. After the village survey along with our

village sarpanch and other village officials we

have started Dry Day program. Dry Day

program is about Water Conservation. We

have come up with an idea of creating

awareness with song, skit and especially with

Village drum ( Dappu). The awareness

program has went on so well.

We have created awareness in every street

and took an oath of not to waste waste but to

conserve it.

Fourth day Started with routine Warm

up. This day had been a cleaning day for us

and also for the villagers. Villagers had been a

great support and even they joined their hands

with us in cleaning. The swatchatha program

went on till 1 PM. The most remarkable

moment was when our volunteers has cleaned

a left out perculation tank and renewed it again

to work.

We returned after that and attended the

culturals of Tunikibollaram village. We also

prepared ourselves for the next day culturals

which is going to be held in our village.

That day was a day of Culturals. We

all were so excited. We dressed up in

telangana traditional wear. We gathered in

Chinathimmapur at 10 30 Am. The program

started at 11 AM. Our Volunteers Swathi,

Sneha and Madhavi has anchored and took the

program to a great level. Our volunteers have

performed few dances and villagers has

shared their experience with us. Village

officials had given few speeches. The day went

on so well.

In the evening, we attended culturals of

Zapthisingaiah pally.

Last day of our camp. Everyone were

sad to leave the village so early. We have

arranged a Validitory Program to felicitate our

support givers Village sarpanches and

officials. Few culturals were also been

displayed. We felicitated Sarpanch with

momentos. Volunteers were given Certificates.

We left the village by 1 PM.

We enjoyed a lot in the village camp as well as

learned a lot. This has been a great event in

our lives and we are looking forward to

volunteer many of the events like then.
