Self Directed StudiesThe vital role of illustrators and designers is the skill to visualise imagination and be iconic with creativity. Standout cover design is an integral part of a books success and that was the under-standing behind my self directed studies.

Task was to promote World Book Day 2013 a large annual event designated to be a worldwide celebration. The aim is to encourage children to explore the pleasure and interest of books and reading by providing them with the opportunity to learn more about literature.

SMart Benefit CampaignInvolved in a brief to create promotional print advertising for the SMart car and pitch concepts to Mercedes Benz. Praised by their Creative Marketing team and Account Managers on our exceptional work.

Focusing on 3 single minded propositions that consisted of 4 star safety from NCAP and car reliability, Manchester being the UKs largest factory owned SMart dealership and finally energy efficiency with highlight that the SMart car has components of 95% recyclability.

Whereas 2 campaigns are executed to show each of the single minded proposition, the third campaign goes off topic and makes the target audience its main objective. People who fall into the category of ABC1 socio demographic are keen audiences whom appreciate the arts, music and theatre. It was therefore my intention to create a piece of artwork. The intention is to captivate the audience and grasp their instant attention.

The Manchester College AdvertisingThe aim is to reach out to the young adults interested in furthering their education with the Manchester College at their newest campus in Wythenshawe.

The aim is to reach out to the young adults by interacting with them on a social level. Majority are High School Leavers and being close to that generation myself I remember the boring lessons and amusing one’s self by doodling and ending the hour lesson with a mass of creative nonsense covering a single piece of lined A4 paper. The focus is on the illustration however the message I need to develop is that furthering education with the Manchester College need not be like the boredom of High School but similar and interactive with individuals social lives and aspects or daily routine. Reaching out through creative design on a personal level.

Soft Drink Launch BrandingCompetition set by Purpose; a London based Design Agency offering a work placement with them for the Summer. Task was to brand a new soft drink coming into the market. My involvement was from the ground up and I was required to: research current market, identify an opportunity, target market, conceive the product, identify its USP, outline the heart of the brand and work from there to: name, design and promote in preparation for a High Street launch.
