X-rays revealed that he suffered an aggravation of an old break is his collar bone. Pray for healing of bone and muscles and encouragement for his spirit. Brenda Marcus had a lumpectomy this past week to remove a cancerous mass. She anticipates radiation treatments to begin sometime next week. Pray for healing form this surgery and healing of the cancer! MARK YOUR CALENDARS for a GROEN GRILLOUT: Come out on Wednesday, July 24 from 5-8 pm for a grill out at Jamie and Jenny Groen's farm! Enjoy great food and fellowship along with kids activities. Free will donation to benefit the ministry of Children of the Promise. Ticket sign up is now available for our church's trip to the Twins Game Faith Day event on Sunday, August 25! This ticket sign up is open to members of Unity and their immediate family. If tickets remain after August 1st, the remaining tickets will be available to the community on a first come, first serve basis. Each ticket is $20, which includes a game ticket and partial defrayment of bus costs. If God would put it on your heart, we could use some underwriters for the charter buses to help keep costs low for everyone. If interested, please contact the church office. On game day, we will have our regular morning worship service followed by a brief time to mobilize for the bus ride, with departure for the game by 10:50am. We plan to return by 9pm that evening. Food is on your own. There will be a brief stop for food following the event on the way home. Join us for the fun day together! Sign us today! CMCS Superintendent Search Committee invites you to attend a Community Listening Session! Each Listening Session will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. A series of questions will be asked, with discussion to follow in groups of 5 to 10 at each table. They hope to see 60 to 70 participants at each session. RSVP is required by calling the school office (320-978-8700) or via the school website. Stuff The Bus Starting Tuesday, July 16th til August 9th Unity will be participating in the Stuff The Bus campaign. There will be a bin in the mail-box area where you can bring school supplies which will be used to help families in our local communities. Let’s help fill those backpacks.
The Relay For Life team - Emden CRC Tumornators) is gearing up for this years Renville County Walk In the Park Cancer Fundraiser on Aug. 2 starting at 4:00 pm at Nester Park in Olivia. They are planning a movie night fund raiser (showing Break Through) with pizza and popcorn on Wednesday, July 24 at the Emden CRC in Renville, starting at 6:00 with the movie starting at 7:00,so mark your calendars and spread the word! Free-will offering. Everyone is encouraged and welcome to join them.
Each year Bible League International Volunteers send out a Love Letter to the members of their respective congregations. As Volunteers the BLIV are no longer working for just one country, but the funds they raise are being used in countries that need it the most. Please read the letter, pray about it and contribute as God leads and enables. There is a yellow gift bag by the mailboxes which you can put your donation in or else send it to me. Let's be honest here...Unity church has some fabulous chefs and bakers!!
So why don't we pull together our tried-and-try recipes and share them with each other in our very own Unity Cookbook!!! Betty Ammermann came up with this great idea and would love some people to come along side her to put this altogether. You can either write them out, and/or copy them and drop them off at church where we will have a drop-off place for them. We are looking at a deadline for these recipes to be handed in by Sept. 1st! Our goal is to have everything edited and put
together into a booklet for Christmas gifts!!
