    The project part of the internship consists of 3 projects with 1 easy projectand 2 medium sized projects which should be executed and submited byyou along with the screen shots and simulation recording of the results.

    Project 1- Tracing an object moving on aconveyer.

    Project 2- Sorting coloured objects. Project 3- Paletizing objects.

    Aim- To trace the surface of a cylinder while moving on a conveyer belt. Objective- This project makes you practice the tracing, conveyer, creating objects and

    practice curve tracing which you have done previously.

    Procedure- Hints to do the project.

    1. Create a new project with soluton and station-with customize options.2. Select the options as shown in the screen shot.(picture 1)

    3. Create a long conveyer belt from modeling-solid-box.

    4. Create a conveyer-modeling tab and create connection.(picture 2)

    5. Import ROBOBEL_96 tool from the library and attach.

    6. Create cylindrical object from modeling tab.

    7. Attach this work object to the conveyer and place on the conveyer and jog it below the tool.

    8. Select the cylinder surface and create an auto path.(picture 3)9. Create configurations for the targets and copy configurations into a new path20.

    10. Create required action instructions and teach instructions to jog the object along theconveyer.

    11. Simulate to see the tool tracing the circular surface of the object while moving on theconveyer.

    Aim-To pick and place different coloured objects between two tables and sort them into respective

    coloured boxes. Two tasks should be done in this project.

    Objective- Helps you learn the basic but most Important Pick nd place function where you can domany other projects if you can do this. This is very frequently used in many Industrial projects.

    Specifications :

    Create an empty station Import a 6 DoF robot from ABB Library Import two tables table 1 and 2. Create (in modeling tab) or Import 3 cylindrical objects of 3 different colours(RED; Blue; Green)

    and place them on table 1. Create 3 surface plates of Red, blue, Green colours on both the tables 1 and 2. Import Vacuum gripper tool and attach to the Robot. Place red cylinder on red surface, blue on blue and green on green surface respectively on table 1. Create Targets in a sequence shown in the Hint diagram below. Create paths and add targets to the created paths. Create the required configurations for all the paths. Auto configure and Simulate the program while you record. Save the solution to submit.

    TASK1- To pick and place red cylinder from table 1 to table 2‘s red surface andsimilarly other two cylinders onto respective coloured surfaces using thevacuum gripper.

    Task 2- pick and place them back to table 1 from table 2 But onto differentcoloured surfaces. ( red cylinder on blue surface, blue onto green, green ontored surface).

    Hints- Example sequence.1. Robot moves from home to offset point start.

    2. move to point 1 onto to the cylinder center point.3. Wait for 2 seconds.4. Execute the action instruction by activating the vacuum gripper to pick.5. Wait for 2 seconds.6. Move to offset point 2.7. Move to point 3 offset point on table 2 red surface.

    8. Move to point 4 onto the surface.9. Wait for 2 sec.10. Execute the path action instruction by deactivating the vacuum gripper to

    place .11. Wait 2 sec.12. Move back to point 5.

    Aim- To create an Infeeder and an out pallet and move objects from theinfeeder to the euro palet. This can be achieved in 3 steps

    Task 1- Create Infeeder Task 2- Craete Out-pallet Task 3- pick one object from the Infeeder and place it on the outpallet.

    Hints to do task 1-1. In the new project import conveyer from library.2. Create a solid object and place it on conveyer.3. Create a smart component named infeeder in modeling tab.

    4. Add component source and select object as the source component.5. Add component queue and edit property bindings (source as source and target asqueue)

    6. Add component linear mover – edit properties- add and specify I/O signals and I/Oconnections.

    7. Add component plane sensor- edit properties and I/O connections.8. Add component Logic gate NOT and edit I/O connections and signals.9. Simulate to see the object moving on the In-Feeder.

    Task 2-hints Import euro palet from library and set position. Cerate a smart component and add component sink and add

    dynamic properties Add component comparer and edit properties. Add component stop watch add bindings. Add logic SR latch and add I/o signals to all the components.

    Task 3- hints You can do the pick and place operation which you did

    before , between the In-feeder and place it on the Euro paletusing a vacum gripper.
