We would like to say a big WELCOME BACK to Christa and Ron Zeek! They have returned to us after living in Wisconsin for 2 1/2 years. They are active in hiking/snowshoeing and skiing and are busy preparing to move into their new home. We are happy to have them back in our Newcomer family and look forward to seeing them at one of our many events!

Paul Carpenter and Larry Campbell are each sporting a new knee. They underwent knee replacement surgery with-in 2 days of one another and both are up and around and doing well. It might be awhile before we see them on the hiking trails, but wish them a quick and complete recovery!

May Luncheon

Tuesday, May 9, 2017

Welcome Past Presidents

Installation of new Executive Board

Kimi’s Chop and Oyster House

We are thrilled to be returning to Kimi’s. Kimi’s is no longer open for lunch but now has a wildly popular Sunday Brunch. Kimi is opening the doors for Newcomers’ and we will have the delightful bar and dining areas for socializing, dining and for our annual recognition of past presidents and installation of the NEW Executive Board. And we are adding Kimi’s to our favorite luncheon venues!

I understand many are disappointed that we are not returning to Stein Eriksen Lodge. We reserved the date but Stein Eriksen had to bump Newcomers’ for a special event. They arranged our luncheon at another venue but it was decided not to venture up the mountains into the unknown.

Directions Turn off I-80 onto 1300 East, north to Wilmington Ave, go West. Turn North into the Commons Parking Lot between Bed, Bath and Beyond and Whole Foods. Once in the parking lot, walk through the northwest corner to Highland Dr. Kimi’s is on the right. It is recommended we do NOT park on the street in front of Kimi’s. It is 2 hour parking and cars will be ticketed.
