At the start of my planning I draw storyboards for my E Sting. The first step was to scan my storyboards, and pictures I was using into my documents.

Date: 02/12/13

After I scanned in my storyboards into my documents, I opened up a new document on illustrator then I imported the documents of the pictures I drew. I had to create a new layer, lock it and then create another layers over the top. I then used then pen tool to draw round my drawings individually. I saved the pictures and named them very simple with the names clearly stated so I wouldn’t get confused when using them later on.

I opened up a new project in After Effects then imported all the pictures I had just made in Illustrator. This is an example of all the documents I imported onto my timeline.

After I had imported them all onto my timeline, I placed them all onto separate layers so they can move individually. This was easy for me to then put my pictures in the places I wanted them to be ready for me to add effects and movement.

Towards the end of my production I started to edit this properly. First i started to added movement after positioning everything where I wanted it to be. I chose which picture I wanted to add movement to. I did this to every image I wanted to add movement to, it took a few tries to understand it but I got the hang of it. I used the position tool when I wanted each image to move across the screen, I position it to where I wanted it to move to.

After positioned everything and was happy with the way it moved, I rendered it then uploaded it to Youtube and embedded it onto my blog.
