When you eat a crisp, sweet, ……… apple today, remember that it came from a farm far away!
First grew a ……… , then a tree with a flower.
Then a tiny fruit grew hour after hour.
When the fruit was ripe, a farmer picked for you.
Then it went many places; here are just a few…
First, it went into a crate, and then a ……… or train.
It might have even traveled on a …….. or in a ………..
Then, it went to a ……… , and then to a …… ,
where workers put it in a bin with many, many more.
then, you bought it at the store, and took it home with you. And before you ate it, there was one thing more to do…
You washed the fruit carefully and put it on a plate.
