Character Artist/Design
Description
A character artist works with the game designers, producing character sketch’s, story-boards and influences the "look of the game". A character artist's job is to follow the art director's vision and to produce characters to an accurate representation of that vision. The produced art may be done in a traditional media, such as drawings or clay molds, or 2D software, such as Adobe Photoshop. Concept art produced in the beginning of the production serves as a guide for the rest of development.
Skills
Highly skilled with Maya or Max, with an understanding of 3d character tools and development Skilled with Adobe Photoshop Demonstrate good knowledge of Zbrush. Understanding and competency with materials and texturing to create final AAA quality characters Understanding of character mesh construction for optimal animation deformation Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to verbalize artistic vision Able to demonstrate some ability to self-direct, and be highly motivated.
Experience
minimum of 3 years

Must have strong communication skills.The capability of taking on instructions from lead artist.
Must have a strong interest in working in a highly collaborative team environment, but must also be capable of working independently.
