What is ICT PD?
A professional development programme that supports and guides Information Communication Technology learning for ourselves and our learners
A programme primarily - to infuse - seamlessly - the use of technologies in to our everyday programmes to raise student achievement
With the way that 21st century students are wired - this should be the ’NORM’ as our tamariki grow up and utilize these technologies around them
What is my role?To survey staff regarding their understanding/needs with ICT and use this information to drive the PD programme across kuraTo mentor new staff in to the programmeTo facilitate at least 2 x staff mtgs a term aligning with the PD programmeTo showcase best practice that is currently happening in schools around the countryTo model some of these practices with our KāhuiTo highlight readings pertinent to keeping abreast of the ICT PD changes occurring (eg. CORE 10 trends, ePortfolios, Netsafe, Digital Citizenship)To role model current online learning community practice
Where are we at?ICT national newsletters are fwded to all, fortnightly
Readings are shared
Good practice and possibilities are shared from other schools
Weekly emails keep all informed
Messages are shared in the Flash each week
Lunchtime club for personalized learning Staff mtgs / TOD for further PD
