Victim – Christie McVayMurderer- Daniel LawrenceSuspect 1 – RicardoSuspect 2 & 3 – Lance & YunusSuspect 4 – Niall MoriartySuspect 5 – Leeza Ah-Wan
The pan of the victim lying dead on the floor will appeal to “caregivers” (Maslow) who are viewing the trailer. They will feel extremely sorry for the victim who has clearly been murdered and “survivors” (Maslow) will want to tune into the episode to make sure the culprit of the murder is found and justice is granted.
Shot 41and 42 of the suspect running away from something will appeal to those who want a form of “diversion” (Katz). These shots will be quite dramatic, allowing viewers to escape from reality and immerse themselves in the actions of the girl who is so clearly scared of something.

The tripod will be used for the panning scene.
The boom mic will be used during shot 3 (when the murderer is on the phone).

Props
Fake blood, which we will put on the face and body of the victim.
A mobile phone, which will be used by the murderer as he talks to the person who gives him the ‘orders’ to complete the killing.
A red ribbon, which will be found in the grass. This red ribbon belongs to the victim. The colour red is used throughout our trailer to symbolise the pain and bloodshed surrounding the residents.
A ‘fake’ substance for the exchange. We will put flour into a sachet.

Int / Ext Set: Sunbury Pub (The Admiral Hawke) Day/Night:Day

Description:Shot 11 – A boy is trying to talk to his girlfriend in the pub but she is distracted.
Location:Sunbury Pub
Studio
Cast
Boy in pub – Yunus KasimGirl in pub– Nikita Da Silva
Most successful soap operas such as Eastenders and Coronation Street have a main pub that the residents go to. The pub is an important location because it is what allows members of the community (for example, the residents of Albert Square) to come together. Therefore, this scene will appeal to those who enjoy traditional aspects of the soap opera genre.
Technical equipment
The camera will be used to film all scenes.
The boom mic will be used in shot 11.
Costume
Both characters will be wearing casual, everyday clothing. This denotes to viewers the soap contains characters of a middle, working class background. This will appeal to ‘middle class’ (Hartley) viewers as, the soap will provide them with a “window into the world” (Wendy Helsby) of situations that they themselves experience during their everyday lives.
Props
No props are needed for these scenes. Any props that we may end up using will only be those that naturally occur in the setting.
Location
Sunbury Pub.
Transport
Walking/Bus.
Notes:
- The scenes that are non-highlighted will be filmed on 2nd December 2015.
- Scenes that are highlighted in yellow will be filmed on the 9th December 2015.

Description:
Shot 17 and shot 18 (Hooded figure walking down the street)Shot 20 (A person is burning a letter)Shot 6 (Boy and girl fighting on the road)Shot 35 (Boy stares darkly at the camera)
Location:Various streets in
Sunbury On-Thames.
Studio
Cast
Hooded figure walking down the street – Jake De CostaGirl who burns the letter – Jessica BoylettBoy and girl fighting on road –Miranda and VonBoy stares at camera – Joseph Ellison
Shot 17 and 18 of the hooded figure walking down the street is likely to appeal to ‘male’ (Hartley) teenagers viewing the trailer. A ‘hoodie’ is a piece of clothing stereotypically associated with teenage boys in society. Seeing actors of a similar age is likely to appeal to this demographic as it is likely they will be able to “personally identify” (Katz), with the situations some of the young male characters find themselves in.
Shot 6 of the boy and girl fighting will appeal to viewers who want to be “entertained” (John Reith). Conflict is a main theme within the soap opera genre that provides viewers with the entertainment they want, as dramatic issues unfold.
Shot 35 of the male character staring into the camera darkly will provide a “female gaze” (Diana Saco). It is typically the mysterious male or the ‘bad boy’ in a soap opera who ‘female’ (Hartley) viewers fall for, as the idea of danger is enthralling.
Technical equipment
The camera will be used to film all scenes.
The boom mic will be used during shot 6 (when the boy and girl are fighting on the road).
Costume
The hooded figure walking down the street will be wearing a red hoodie. The colour red has been chosen in particular, as it’s symbolic of the bloodshed involved in the plot.
Breakdown Sheet #3

Props
A lighter will be used in shot 20 to burn the letter. The letter will have the writing “I know what you did it makes me sick” on it, creating further mystery around the murder. This is because we cannot see who is burning the letter but it’s clear they have something to hide.
Location
Various streets in Sunbury On-Thames.
Transport
Walking/Bus.

A scratched hand is placed on a steaming kettle - Leeza Ah-Wan
The soap opera genre tends to “focus on the home” (Rebecca Feasey - 2007). Therefore, we believed it was important to have some scenes that were set in this conventional environment. We believed this was an important aspect to “repeat” (Neale) in order to be truthful to the genre.
Technical equipment
The camera will be used to film all scenes.
Costume
All the characters will be wearing casual, everyday clothing.
One character will have scratches on their hand connoting they have been involved in some sort of accident or fight. We will make the scratches look believable by using make up.

Description:
Since creating our storyboard, we have changed some of the scenes that we originally planned to film. Instead of each character being knocked down individually on the guess who board game, we will be doing a pan of the board game where the audience will be able to see all the character’s faces. We are planning to put this pan at the beginning of the trailer. The audience will see the characters on the board game and see that the purpose of the trailer is to make them ‘guess who’ which character is behind the ordering of the murder. When the trailer starts viewers will realise these characters are all suspects of a murder, as one of them gave the orders to have the girl killed.
At the end of the trailer, the player of the game will slam the board game off the table. The aggressive nature of the character will be dramatic.
We will also film a scene where all that can be seen is the murderers red tie and his hands. Therefore, at the end of the trailer, viewers will realise that the player is the murderer from shot 3 who was on the phone. However, they still wont know which one of the suspects gave him the orders. The only way they will discover this is by tuning in to ‘Upon Thames’.
