The five policies that are supported by Windows Vista and/or Windows 7 but not by Windows XP or older versions are; 1. Open the Local Group Policy Editor 2. Administrative Template Policy Settings3. Edit a Local Group Policy Object 4. Edit Multiple Local Group Policy 5. Disable User or Computer Settings in Local Group Policy. It consists of two main sections which are User Configuration and Computer Configuration. In the User Configuration have settings that are applied to users, for example sign-in. Now for Computer Configuration has setting that are applied to the computer, for example startup. What is Administrative Template Policy Setting? This policy provides information for the items that appear under the Administrative Templates folder. What is Edit a Local Group Policy Object? It means that you are able to edit any policies within Local Group Policy Object that is registry-based policies, security options, software installation and maintenance options, scripts options, and folder redirection options.

What is Edit Multiple Local Group Policy? This policy consists of local computer policy, administrators local group policy, non-administrators local group policy, user specific local group policy. What is Disable User or Computer Settings in Local Group Policy? This policy does lets the administrator the right to disable a setting within a User or in the computer.

What is Disable User or Computer Settings in Local Group Policy? Local Computer Policy allows you to disable both computer and user configurations. Administrators, Non-Administrators, and User-Specific Local Group Policies allow you to disable only the user configuration.
