Unit 5: Crime Drama Trailer Brief Synopsis: In my short Crime Drama Trailer we did for Unit 5 the whole story was about a man/boy who escaped from prison and whilst doing so came across many obstructions and obstacles, for example the person who escaped from prison (Liam) had guards to take out and escape out of the actual prison itself. As this is only a trailer I didn’t want to spoil too much of what would have happened if the short film would have been released. Equipment needed/used: Cannon 600d. This is because it hast the highest filming resolution out of both the cameras available which would look better once it has been rendered. SanDisk 32GB SD Card Class 10. We used the best SD card available also so that the read/write transfer were quick, this helped when we were transferring the files onto out pc’s ready to be edified. Velbon DF-51 camera tripod. This was good for getting the steady shots we wanted to achieve and this worked perfectly. We also could rely on this tripod as it was very sturdy and strong so we didn’t have to worry about it falling off and breaking the camera. Finally I used Premier Pro to edit my short Crime Drama because it is good and is perfect for what I was trying to achieve. Props: We made a fake but realistic gun to use for our Crime Drama as there was none available in the media classroom. This turned out really well as it wasn’t threating to the public but at the same time looked as real as we wanted for out project.
