the organization.

1. Job Design To decide the contents of a job.

Duties and responsibilities of the job

Methods of doing the job

Relationships between the job holder and his superiors, subordinates, and colleagues

2. Recruitment and Selection Recruitment – process of searching the

candidates for employment and stimulating them to apply for jobs in the company.

Selection – involves series of steps by which the candidates are screened for choosing the most suitable persons for vacant posts.

3. Training and Development Training – planned effort by a company to facilitate

employee’s learning of job-related competencies.

Development – gradual advancement or growth through a series of progressive changes.

4. Performance Appraisal (PA) Also known as “Performance Evaluation”.

Systematic and periodic process that assesses an individuals employee’s job performance and productivity in relation to certain pre-established criteria and organizational objectives.

5. Motivation Internal and external factors that stimulate desire

and energy in people to be continually interested in and committed to a job, role, or subject, and to exert persistent effort in attaining a goal.
