He combines vintage black and white photographs from the 1950s and early 1960s with colour landscape photography. The technique is known as photomontage. The combining of the two photographs gives a 3D effect.

DAVID HOCKNEY

David Hockney is known for his joiner photographs in where he takes a series of photos in which there is a movement or a change in lighting which can be seen. He uses a scene where there is moment so as he takes the photographs you can see the actions that are taking place.
