    Telling Time

    When you talk about time, you use the time expression in minutes, the word PAST after

    the hour and the word TO before the hour.

    What time is it?

    6:10 Its ten minutes past six. (its ten past six)

    2:15 Its fifteen minutes past two. (Its quarter past two)

    11:30 Its half past eleven (Its eleven thirty)

    8:40 Its twenty minutes to nine (Its twenty to nine)

    5:45 Its fifteen minutes to six (its fifteen to six / Its quarter to six)

    1. Most of the verb are made progressive by simple adding ING

    2. Those verbs that end in silent e eliminate the e in the present progressive.
