TRANSLATING IDEASUse a range of methods to translate ideas, observations and experiences
Once an artist has decided upon an idea, and looked at inspiration they have many directions which they can take to make art.
In studio art you will be EXPECTED to move beyond realism and make art in a number of different ways. Some artists work in 3 or 4 different ways, sometimes only one.
We will learn about this in the YEARSTART task, but will reference it throughout UNIT 1, including in the exam

Realistic- (Realist Era) Showing people places or things in a way that is true to life. (What we often first aim for, a way we evaluate an artwork, not always the easiest or thebest!)

• Often the first reaction that that students will have• Based on an image they collected when looking for ideas• Great starting point, historically but often with students realistic
representations will lack depth.. Possibility if you have a HIGH level of drawing skills.
